Nasa’s output of climate change information aimed at the public has dwindled under the Trump administration, with a former employee claiming “fear and anxiety” within the agency has led to an online retreat from the issue.
Laura Tenenbaum, a former science communicator for Nasa, said she was warned off using the term “global warming” on social media and restricted in speaking to the media due to her focus on climate change.
“Nasa’s talking point is that it’s business as usual, but that’s not true,” said Tenenbaum, who departed Nasa in October after a decade at the space agency.
“They have stopped promoting or emphasizing climate science communication, they have minimized it. People inside the agency are concerned Trump will cut climate science funding. There is a fear and anxiety there and the outcome has been chaos.”
Tenenbaum said that around a month after Trump’s inauguration last year an “arduous review process” was put in place over every blog post, Facebook post and tweet that she put out from Nasa’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California.

President Trump strongly supports space exploration, but NASA has a LOT of people who contribute absolutely nothing, but draw a big paycheck.
I read both the Columbia and Challenger accident reports a while back. Those reports ought to be read by every taxpayer. My opinion of NASA hasn’t recovered.
There may be "fear and anxiety" among those who have a weak understanding of science and technology relating to climate change. There are many NASA employees and contractors who understand that the science associated with climate change is far from settled.
There are many NASA scientists interested only in getting the best and most accurate data to study climate change.
NASA, like other agencies, has been infiltrated by leftists who hate mankind and want to blame them for global warming. What about global cooling?

There are loads of federal agencies that stray far afield from their core mission. Even worse, there is often duplication of effort between agencies. Their activities and budgets should be rigorously reviewed as frequently as possible. These reviews could pay for themselves in savings and cost avoidance.

Then, under obummer, their mission was redefined to remind us almost daily that "This was the hottest (day/week/month/year) ever recorded". Meanwhile, they can hardly now get a man to Houston much less to some extraterrestrial destination.
Why are they even dealing with that issue? I thought NASA's mission was space exploration. Climate is something that exists on earth.
