Political conversations have grown increasingly nasty in recent years, and it may be spawning something even worse: a growing number of people taking their vitriol to another level by threatening members of Congress.
In the past couple of months, the Justice Department announced action in four cases involving people who threatened serious harm, or even death, to federal lawmakers.
Most of those threats were made online, reflecting just one way people can convey their most vulgar feelings toward those on other sides of public policy disputes.
Most of the targets have been Republican lawmakers, who are in the crosshairs of anti-Trump forces who relish their stance as a self-styled #Resistance.

Before and/or after the Hinckley shooting?
Clueless FBI statement following the shooting of Republican Congressmen at an Alexandria ballpark.
Reagan carried the Walther PPK starting well before he was shot. The only reports I’ve seen of him carrying a revolver were after the shooting. I don’t know whether he switched back and forth or just changed what he carried.
>
President Reagan used to carry a Walther PPK (the same gun as James Bond) in a holster, or a .38 revolver either holstered or in his briefcase while in office. I hope todays patriotic elected leaders do the same. The fascist sissies need to be met with lead if they come after decent people.

I would say, “Check your hypocrisy”.
I still need a definition of ‘Serious harm’ (we’ll exclude DEATH), but plenty of examples in the past (and even here on FR) re: ‘tar & feathers’.
If the Leftist mob any less ‘justified’ than the Right version of the same? Or have we elevated the ELECTED (servant) to a “protected” class, above the riff-raff (master)?
Sorry, but FEW (if *any*) in govt are looking out for the Citizen(s), our Country, least alone our Rights\Freedom; regardless of Uniparty membership.
Buy them orange jump suits and put them in expensive “condo units” that lock from the outside.
Isn’t ‘resist’ what communist have historically done?
If they can, they win elections, then move to shut down the election process. If they don’t win the election, they agitate.
Please tell me how the current ‘resist’ movement differs in principle from this principle of communist operations?
We can trust Brittany. Outstanding and very solid young lady with wisdom far beyond her age.
Oh, and if you send snail mail to Tommy, add “United Kingdom” (without the quotes) to the end of that mailing address shown under Brittany’s video in the description. Ask the Post Office about the options for sending it and amount for postage.
Sounds less like resistance and more like anarchism.
Now when the left is no longer in charge, they are anti-government (currently anti-federal) except those that they control (states like California). Whenever they are in power, they use government to enrich their cause taking/using public funds, advance their agenda, spy on, arrest, prosecute, crush any opponents, etc. . .
I would wager that most average people do not know about the history of anarchism in America, and its roots to the left, labor, Dems, and... even (how timely) to Communist/Russia. Hence, many of the “useful idiots” in the resist movement, could not survive in the nightmare that they would wake up in should their cause be successful.
The info for various ways of supporting Tommy starts at 5 minutes with specific info a little after that, close to the end of the video.

Remember to add United Kingdom in an extra line in the address to get snail mail to him. She mentioned sending money to that snail mail address. Don’t know if U.S. currency will work if sent by snail mail to that prison address (postage stamps, phone calls, food, toiletries, etc.). Might want to have it converted to GBP (British pounds) and make it a small amount for each letter.
In short, they're "resisting" an agenda that is not theirs. While Trump loves to get under their skin and therefore makes it easy for them to be especially adamant in their resistence, I suspect that they would've done this with any Republican

Well, they clearly are resisting the democratic process, as true leftists always do eventually and not just in Western nations. They resist accepting the results of an election they dont like. Donald Trump won the election, and they have been trying to overturn the election ever since. They don’t care what the American people want, because in all leftist societies the people are expected to submit and obey for the supposed greater good.
In the leftist mindset, self-righteous Marxist/”Progressive” elites are the only ones cabable of determining what is best for regular people and for society as a whole. No dissent or difference of opinion is allowed that they personally dont like (i.e. what they personally deem politically incorrect), only submissionwhich of course makes their name choice seem ironic.
Are they resisting? Yes, but its the acceptance of free elections, free speech, and diversity of opinions that they are resisting. Shutting people up and keeping them in line by any means necessary including (for some) violence seems to be one of the top goals of a sizable chunk of the modern left.
He has asked that we not send him mail in jail.
There are things we might do that will make it harder for his case.
Just because we want to help, doesn’t mean our effort always will.
I think this thing is taking a life of it’s own. Oddly both the Left and the Right have a part in that.
We will see. Thanks.
Of course it’s the (R) they really hate, and make up whatever lie needed to justify it. McCain is their media darling because he also hates Trump, but while he was running against Obama he was a coward, a traitor, a terrible husband, an incompetent, too old, and of course a racist.
