President Trump has unleashed his ire against the "13 angry Democrats" on special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation on Twitter the past couple of days. For months prior, he has dismissed the probe as a biased "witch hunt."

Trump's first tweet came soon after the Mueller team targeted former Trump campaign aide Paul Manafort's business dealings. The former aide faces charges of acting as an unregistered foreign agent and of money-laundering. Manafort argued that Mueller shouldn't have been able to prosecute him because the charges don't stem directly from Russian election interference. However, U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson rejected his attempt to have some of the charges dropped. She explained why, in her 37-page ruling, the charges against him "fall squarely within that portion of the authority granted to the Special Counsel."
Manafort was, at one time, not merely ‘associated with,’ but the chairman of, the Presidential campaign, and his work on behalf of the Russia-backed Ukrainian political party and connections to other Russian figures are matters of public record,” the judge added in her 37-page ruling. “It was logical and appropriate for investigators tasked with the investigation of ‘any links’ between the Russian government and individuals associated with the campaign to direct their attention to him.”
On Friday, Jackson dismissed Manafort's civil suit challenging Mueller's authority.

i would only suggest...
1/ we’ve seen legal investigations that set up their victims with totally fabricated and falsified ‘evidence’ and judges who go ahead and both issue patently unjustified orders, warrants, etc. A ‘legal’ proceeding is SUPPOSED to provide due process of law.. but it all depends on the prosector and judge...........and sometimes....the innocent get victimized badly.
so... I would have the SAME concerns for a ‘legal’ investigation as I do for this one
2. a “political” investigation (and subsequent removal from office) lacks the SUPPOSED protections of a “legal” proceeding (the procedures are up to Congress and the constitutional removal standard of “high crimes and misdemeanors” is just one more of the constitutional phrases/provisions that a politicized, super-leftist Congress could, would just run rampant over, run right past it... at their pleasure... just like when Congress ignored its duty regarding the ineligible illegal immigrant’s taking office in 2009)
I appreciate your POV but I remain of the opinion that the best available course will be for DJT to flush this entire socalled “investiation” right down the nearest toilet.
Now. (DLT is famously good at communicating his thoughts with the American people, he can handle the commie-press squwaks better this way than later when they all gang up on his impeachment... it will be noisy both ways but THIS way he won’t be standing trial)

You make some good points. My belief is any actions taken by Trump will happen after NK Summit is resolved and more likely to go your suggested way if negotiations are successful.
Politics is really not so much about what is right or wrong as you know.
