Mark Penn, Hillary Clinton’s chief strategist for her 2008 presidential campaign, said Tuesday that the investigation examining President Trump’s ties to Russia was born out of “hysteria.”
For the second straight day, Penn maintained that the investigation conducted by special counsel Robert Mueller should end. His comments to talk show host Hugh Hewitt on Tuesday came a day after an op-ed column in The Hill.
Penn told Hewitt that “there seems to have been almost a hysteria” created by Christopher Steele, the former British intelligence officer who compiled the now famous “Trump dossier” and “a vast echo chamber that there’s something here.
“And so I think that people can get into a bubble in their own world and environment in which I think they’ve become disconnected from the fact that they didn’t have real substantial, credible evidence,” he said.

I think this is a trial balloon.
What Penn is effectively saying is, “We’ll squash the Meuller probe if you stop trying to drag out the dirt on Brennan, Comey, Clapper, et al.”
Penn is very worried that this could actually end up ensnaring Hillary and Obama. He can make the case (I believe people are making the case) that if this continues, Obama could face charges, and that would spark outright rioting across the country. Plus Hillary, having nothing left to lose, could go nuclear and start shoveling out all the dirt the Clintonistas have been gathering over the years/decades.
Yes, it was an attempted coup, and they are guilty as hell, but it didn’t work and now they want to let bygones be bygones and “put the election behind us”.
I wonder if Trump will go for it.
Penn wants us to believe these are good people who have gone astray.
Good people don’t use the power of government to conduct sting operations against political opponents.
Oh, that too, no doubt. But he is, IMHO, in a very off-centered, easily deniable way, extending an olive branch.
I have no doubt it is utterly self-serving, and I don’t think that Trump should accept. This is probably the best opportunity we will ever get to break the “Deep State” cabal and return power back to where it belongs.
However, the Deep State and increasingly the Democrats know that too, and they don’t want to take the chance.
Even democrats are calling out the deluded and predatory megalomaniac, Mueller.

After Penn’s first two interviews I expected the Clinton Mafia would’ve had him whacked. He must have a death wish.
With Hillary likely to go to prison for treason and any/all those who tried to cover it up facing the same justice, I can see these miserable democrats and some republican sellouts appearing more and more detestable to the american people.
If they did the crime - they should do the time.
