Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.) warned Republican lawmakers on Friday not to expose the identity of top-secret FBI informant, saying that to do so would be "irresponsible" and potentially illegal.
"It would be at best irresponsible, and at worst potentially illegal, for members of Congress to use their positions to learn the identity of an FBI source for the purpose of undermining the ongoing investigation into Russian interference in our election," Warner, the top Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee, said in a statement.
"Anyone who is entrusted with our nations highest secrets should act with the gravity and seriousness of purpose that knowledge deserves," he added.

Jeff Sessions?
Was he a professor? The 'secret source' is allegedly a professor. What about that guy Comey forwarded his presidential meeting notes to?
Is Professor Daniel Richman the secret source?

Hmm, I was always wondering what those redacted sections were about. I previously believed they could be about secret Russian assets (US agents or US sponsored informants) corroborating stuff in the Steele dossier. That's ok really because the Russians fed the dossier info to Steele so it's really all just a big Russian operation to infiltrate the Trump campaign and cause havoc
But now it seems as though some of the redacted portions may be about FBI inserted into the Trump campaign. If true, contrary to Ben Shapiro, that is totally out of line. Ben said tonight on the radio that it was OK for the FBI to start a counter-intel investigation into the Trump campaign because of Papadop and Manafort. But that's what deep states do and Shaprio seems ok with it.

Ben Shapiro thinks a little too highly of himself. He’s a NeverTrumper, and he’s mad because he hasn’t been able to get anyone to come over to his side. As a matter of fact, Trump is gaining supporters every day, among the “elite”, as well as the electorate, including people who have been NeverTrumpers for over two years. Sour grapes will set your teeth on edge, Ben.
"It would be at best irresponsible, and at worst potentially illegal, for members of Congress to use their positions to learn the identity of an FBI source for the purpose of undermining the ongoing investigation into Russian interference in our election,"
Get the rope for this mealy-mouthed lying SOB.

Yeah, he's starting to annoy me. He seems to be completely unaware that the Australian ambassador is a friend of the Clintons and CF donor and not the least bit trustworthy to start a CI investigation. The Russian lawyer meeting was a Fusion setup, not a legitimate reason to investigate the Trump campaign.
I do appreciate talk show hosts that are not as pro-Trump as I am. But they can't stay willfully blind about the Clinton (and Podesta and potential deep state) involvement in this.
