The GOP legislator who is pushing the discharge petition is telling lobbyists that he will have enough GOP signatures to force an amnesty vote in the House once this weeks primaries are finished, sources tell Breitbart News.
California GOP Rep. Jeff Denham is the frontman in the petition effort, which needs just seven more GOP signatures to reach the 25 needed GOP signatures on the discharge petition. Those 25 signatures will allow the 193 Democrats to take the 218-vote majority control of the House floor and push through a no-strings amnesty for roughly 3 million younger DACA illegals.
That amnesty would also block President Donald Trumps pro-American immigration reforms because it would leave him with nothing to buy off the cheap-labor groups in the GOP and Democratic parties.
Denham is telling people theyll get to 25 after primaries today because members will be free to co-sponsor the petition once their state primaries are over, one source told Breitbart News.
Another source told Breitbart News that House Majority Whip Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) is the only member of the GOP Leadership currently trying to stop the amnesty vote.
Previously, House Majority Leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) said he hoped the discharge petition failed. On May 15, The Hill reported that McCarthy said:
Well, were still talking after we talked to the President on which way to go I still have a firm belief discharge is the worst way to legislate.
Outgoing House Speaker Paul Ryan signaled his support for the petition.
So far, Ryan has not publicly criticized the petition-signers, nor has he threatened to deny them any of the partys reelection funds. That silence is interpreted by activists as a tacit endorsement of the amnesty push.

Can he override a veto? (Answer: No, not even close)
Exercise in futility.
Good thing we have a President who is on the side of the citizen and the rule of law for the first time in 28 years.
We MUST remove the Bush League Republicans from office before they give away our country.
The voice and money of the Chamber of Amnesty.
...and some wonder why the Rep Party is called the ‘Stupid Party’. Good grief.
This small group of fools do not get it.
Wtf?
Outgoing House Speaker Paul Ryan signaled his support for the petition.
*********************************
Ryan wants amnesty as the capstone for his Speakership.
They are not stupid, they are determined to complete the Bush Plan for North Mexico (aka USA).
Someone wants lose the majority in congress.
Ryan and McCarthy are hiding in the bunker again.
Do they EVER do any work?
If Trump signed this, then it would hurt the GOP in the mid-terms.
An honest politician. Readily admitting that they are not in DC to represent voters. The only time they care about voters’ wishes is during elections - and that’s only pretend concern to get past the inconvenience (i.e. elections) that democratic representation causes them.
Re-trying the old Boehner/Cantor gambit! Once free of the people’s influence, they do what they want.
And they wonder why Trump won!
Tell Vlad I will have much more flexibility after the election. F this guy and Ryan. Between the Rats and Ryan’s Rinos there are enough votes to shove this trough. Maybe even veto proof.
They met a month ago when they all read the stories of a blue wave and decided "if we're going to lose anyway, let's do what we always wanted to do but couldn't because of those damned voters". The fact that the reports of their imminent electoral demise was premature doesn't matter now, they strategy is rolling. But no matter, chasing amnesty will probably make that predicted electoral disaster happen after all.
This would be a way for the GOP to throw away their House majority. If the GOP leadership means anything at all they need to fall on Jeff Denham like a brick wall. The fact they don’t says volumes.
Trump will just veto.
They’ll never get 60 votes in the Senate.
