Years ago, we had to come up with something to keep the birds (and squirrels) away from our plum trees.

I found - at the Dollar Store, of all places - the iridescent wrapping paper and bows and cut them in to strips, then tied the strips to the tree branches.

Worked like a charm! Now, when the plum trees have a good crop...it’s a bumper crop :-)

"I, for one, would be lost, this is my go to of the morning,....."

Same here Granny. I have been quietly slipping out of bed in the morning trying hard to not wake my husband up so I can have a few minutes without having to start my day out taking care of him. I don't post much because living on the West Side, everything is pretty much discussed before I do get up. :-)

Dolly, the TT is the life blood for a lot of people. Keep up the good work.

Hi spunky! Boy you have a good memory. Well the spice business is a no go for now. The Tennessee legislature decided that domestic kitchens have to sell with in Tennessee only. And they took away all the requirements for licensing and inspections and classes. I don’t think that latter is a good thing at all! That means people can sell just about anything made under discussed and conditions… So I think they messed up on that law. Hopefully it will change eventually. At least so I could sell to more than 1/50th of the country. It’s not worth my time or financial investment now.

How are you doing? Hope all is well! Or as well as can be expected :-)

Murphy Brown to reboot, REALLY!?

Didn’t watch it then, won’t watch it now.

But remember something about a Dan Quayle/ Murphy Brown dust-up.

Gave a speech on family values and cited MB as lacking, IIRC.

Hi hoosiermama.....

I certainly am not sophisticated enough (that’s a nicer sounding way of saying I’m too lazy lol) to unravel the Q thread. I am happy to sit back and let the real brains figure it all out and report.

Did you get all of your gardens planted? Our weather has been so darn wet that my daughter has not been able to plant so much of her seedlings. Her market opens June 1st and so far she’s just got rhubarb, eggs and lamb.

what an inviting kitchen..old fashioned appearing but oh so functional and love that big table.

At wifi now but probably won’t post new thread til tonight

We aren’t GOING ANYWHERE — like disappearing.

Many are disappointed to have lost some of our prolific news posters. I wish I had more easy access to wifi as I love researching and posting. On my phone HTML is the pits and I have very limited data as I share with my brother on his family plan.

I was hoping to get my own plan but found out that the phone I am using was NOT registered as paid for.. My friend Jim got it for me about 2 years ago and at that time it was.. We were at apple store together. I did not realize my brother’s account has been charged each month. My friend Jim didn’t keep the receipt and I didn’t get one.

I hope to get to the apple store in next week or so as I have a few questions on my devices... Ill see if they have the records.

so nice to see you (and you responded to another TT query)... I have thought about you often and was wondering how all was going. I remember when hubby started new job..

I hope to get to NC(winston Salem area) this summer for my sons birthday.. I haven’t seen him in 4 years... Then drive west on 40 to Oklahoma..

will go through Tenn and maybe we can meet for lunch or dinner along the way?

I recall you were knee deep in remodeling etc in your new home and we were all going to descend on your for a weekend get together.. Maybe it will still happen eventually...somewhere.. but I LOVE Tenn and well WV also beautiful states.. NC mountains are nice too.

Ill be stopping at Biltmore for the Chuhilly exhibit.

Still working on it. Have a few things in and plants ready to go.

Much of what Q post is NOT sophisticated. People just want others to think only they have the answers. It’s basically a who -done -it. Solve the mystery. There should be no wrong answers just an experiment in analytic - connect the dots - thinking.

Hi Jane... the reason I did not ping the whole group to the note as I wanted to just hear from the regular posters... Those that are here and participate are the ones who should be forming the structure and basis for our “actions” here. Most on our ping list never show up.. can’t be sure if they lurk but they aren’t participants in my mind.

make sense?
