Green Beret and former UFC fighter Tim Kennedy livestreamed a video of himself being waterboarded to promote President Trump's nomination, Gina Haspel, for CIA director.
In a 41-minute-long video, Kennedy is voluntarily waterboarded by his friends multiple times while answering questions between sessions.
The reason we are doing this ... is for us to have a conversation. Right now, an amazing hero has been appointed to be director of the CIA and because of that, some of the things she has done are being attacked, Kennedy said about Haspel.
Haspels nomination has repeatedly come under fire because of her role overseeing "enhanced interrogation techniques" which have widely been considered torture on detainees at a CIA black site.
Between sessions, Kennedy argued that being waterboarded wasnt torture and was simply uncomfortable.
If I can change one persons mind about what torture is and what I would do to protect American freedom, I will do this for years, Kennedy said about waterboarding.
Kennedy also tweeted earlier this week, "Waterboarding is not torture."

The guy is an absurd joke and a liar.
That’s NOT how waterboarding is done in Navy SERE.
Bullshit.
Kennedy is trying to get some cred back after going on a Lance Armstrong podcast several weeks ago and saying we need lots of gun control, you should have to be 21 to buy an AR15 and does everyone really need an ,AR. The blowback on his Facebook page has been brutal. He still won’t retract the 21 age thing. He just dances around it. He’s kind of an immature adrenaline junkie.
Best. Kennedy. Ever.
“Kennedy argued that being waterboarded wasnt torture and was simply uncomfortable”
Let me and a couple of buddies put him on a REAL waterboard and then let’s see what he says.
“simply uncomfortable” lol
Agreed. I watched his video on Facebook yesterday and it looked pretty bogus to me. In the past I watched a couple of real waterboarding segments and people last about 15 seconds.
p
I remember when Hitchens did it...if that was how waterboarding is done, he lasted like mabe 15 seconds.

Yes and notice they put a full year cover on him and then held the towel firmly down over Hitchens face.
