John McCain, who has been battling an aggressive form of brain cancer for more than a year, doesn’t want President Trump to attend his funeral and prefers Vice President Pence to be there, according to a New York Times report.
In addition, former Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama have been asked to deliver eulogies at McCain's funeral, sources close to both former presidents and McCain told CNN.

I will boycott all coverage on this one.
Pence should make a point of visiting the Vietnam Memorial that day, in memory of all the non-McCains that served.
I wouldn’t go either. Maybe they can dig up Ho Chi Minn and prop him up for it.
Does this mean that death is immanent? Apart from planning a funeral guest list, McCain should be arranging the replacement for his senate seat.

It has become part of the job of every Vice President to attend the funerals of relatively unimportant public figures and celebrities, and even some relatively important enemies of the United States of America.
