I think she was fine when she first got there and asked the officer what was going on. She should have immediately asked the driver or her kid what was up when the cop said to ask them.
She got carried away with herself. She looks bad, but the cop was being a bit of a jerk as well. He could have just said to her ____ is why we puled them over. We let them go, but the car is unregistered and we must tow it by law. He made the matter worse, though he wasn’t in the wrong.

Actually, they told her to talk to the driver, who was not her daughter. And no one was being detained, except the car, which wasn’t properly registered. I was just hoping the officer would tell her that unless she discontinued her tirade, that she would be taken into custody “for interfering with an officer in the performance of his duties.”

My car was towed last month. I was polite to the cops. It took me under an hour to recover the damned car - she’s claiming it is ruining her entire weekend! Liar.
It wasn’t her daughter’s car and her daughter wasn’t driving. But Turner was about to be inconvenienced and that was all she cared about.
Oh. She sounded and acted drugged or drunk.

I thought even more instructive than the “you may shut the F up” were the following:
1. Stressing that the kids are PHd students at Yale and MIT, as if that is a reason to let them off.
2. Stressing that the stop was ruining their Passover weekend, as if that is a reason to let them off.
3. Insulting the police by repeatedly telling them they “can’t put a sentence together”, i.e. she is a brilliant elite woman and these guys are dumb deplorables.

She came out of that car looking like she was going bear hunting with a switch.
Kind of swaggered up and DEMANDED to know then hit them with the ‘do you realize who I am’ and kept digging the hole deeper.
Like the cop said, I told the driver and your daughter was polite and I let her in on the conversation. She was a back seat passenger with no charges and the driver is over 18.
I think the two cops showed a LOT of restraint and I am not so sure I wouldn’t have ticketed her for ‘jay walking’ but they(the cops) made too much of the deal with her talking to the tow truck operator. If I were in her position (chauffer and sudden ‘guardian’ to some college age kids) I probably would have wanted to get it from the impounder where the vehicle would be and how much to get it out (Easter Sunday etal) and when.
BUT by that time she had completely worn out her welcome and you can imagine the $h!t $torm had the cop told HER to STFU.
Nearer the end I think she was really baiting them and it is hard telling but I do not think she was aware of the dash cam.. NOW we can REALLY see why the LIBs didn’t want dash or cop cams in the Post 2016 Inaug ‘gathering’.
Also why did she think naming the institutions the little darlings attended was pertinent to the situation.
Had I been the cop I may have said something along the lines of ‘If they are/were that smart one would think their registration etc would be in order’ But that gives her the ‘upper hand’ by being able to say ‘SEE, I am a Lawyer AND these are just stupid kids’.
I’m so pleased the officers didn’t give into the woman’s demands for an explanation ... although it’s a little sad to see the woman descend into a mild form of temporary insanity. ... Then again, that’s likely a qualification for her civil service job in a Leftist utopia. Hah!

I suspect if the officers had any suspicion of any impairment, they would have arrested her. After all, they witnessed her driving up in her Mercedes. The only “impairment” she had was being a useless, self-important Liberal B!tch!
