Tuesdays special election in Arizonas 8th Congressional District, in the conservative suburbs outside Phoenix, may reveal the depth of Republicans political challenges in 2018. Debbie Lesko, the partys nominee and a former state senator, is favored to win over Hiral Tipirneni, a Democrat and emergency room doctor, in a district that supported President Trump in 2016 by more than 20 points.

HSN just ran a puff-piece on the Democrat today. Of course they are presenting this as a referendum on Trump policies.
The media is openly colluding with the Rats. I also strongly suspect that Twitter and Facebook are using algorithms that ensure that only liberal Democrats get tailored notices about these special elections. Facebook and Twitter categorize users based on political ideology and its easy for them to tailor results so that conservatives dont get notice of the elections while liberals do.
I voted for Lesko. I read yesterday that the democrat will run in the next election should she lose today.
Thanks for standing the gap! If you know any conservatives who havent voted yet, push, pull, drag and beg them to go to the polls. We can beat the filthy media scum with grassroots effort.
voted this morning at 6.05am and was the 8th ballot cast. 2 people in front of me were union looking dudes casting provisional ballots
Our NBC news in PHX highlighted this race on the morning news. According to them, if the Dem wins OR if it a close race but the Repub does win, it will be a disaster for the Republicans. So, even if the Repub WINS, but it is CLOSE, it is a disaster for us. Sooooo fed up with the blatant bias, but hubby wants to know abou the traffic situation in the mornings, so we have NBC on.
The Democrat was fired from her nursing job for malpractice..as in putting her patient in a wheelchair.
I cannot vote in Arizona so I made a donation to the Lesko campaign.
Hope she runs ‘til she drops.
CA needs a Trump like candidate who'll rock the podium with hard truth regarding the current crop of lying leftist screw worms and their disciples of deceit in DSM.
John Cox needs to ramp it up and he better ramp up soon.
“voted this morning at 6.05am and was the 8th ballot cast. 2 people in front of me were union looking dudes casting provisional ballots”
Did you ask them how many times they are going to vote today?
It’s not in the news, guess that means this one is boy a referendum in Trump... Guess that means a Repukes win is in the cards and doesn’t fit the narrative
I don’t know why people don’t vote when it is so easy in AZ. We always vote via mail-in ballot. Can’t get any better than that!!
Me, too!
As was the case when Obama was president, republicans were energized to vote against whomever the democrat was running for whatever office it was. Which is why the democrats lost over 1,000 elected offices during his 8 years in office. Now the shoe is on the other foot.
The good news is that this is a heavily republican district and based on the returned ballots so far, the vote is heavily republican. The only question is the margin of victory - hopefully, it is double digits. If it is single digits - not so good.
The democrats aren't really contesting this one too much, either.
There are now about 40 open pub seats, which is alot of open seats. An open seat is easier for the opposition to win and by having a favorable electoral climate, the dems are able to attract better candidates, which gives them a better chance of winning.
So yes, a narrow republican win is not good in a district that should be a landslide win.
Looked it up. According to ABCNews, Phoenix, she left her ER job in 2007 after a malpractice judgement against her. Yet she promotes herself as an ER physician in her TV ads. The first time seeing this info about her.....it should have been front and center in Republican TV ads, for the last month.
Special elections are a different animal than a general election - a lot of people dont know there is an election today
