SCOOP: Rod Rosenstein told Trump last week that he isn’t a target of any part of Mueller’s investigation.
After the meeting, Trump told some of his closest advisers that it’s not the right time to remove either man.
Rosenstein, who brought up the Mueller probe himself, offered the assurance during a meeting with Trump at the White House last Thursday, a development that helped tamp down the president’s desire to remove Rosenstein or Mueller, the people said.
They haven’t found a crime to investigate yet so how could they identify a target?
Common LEO tactic - tell the target he is not a target, then get the target to talk to LEO without their lawyer present.

It’s a war of attrition, and not the way you think. It’s not about picking off Trump’s people, one by one. True, that is happening, but the real point of the whole mess is to brainwash the nation into having a negative reaction everytime the word “Trump” is spoken.

If this is true, why doesn’t Rosenstein announce it publicly??? Shades of Comey?
“Target” and “Subject” are very specific words for the Justice Department. “Target” means that charges are imminent. As Trump is the President, he cannot be charged by the DOJ and, as such, will NEVER be the “Target” of this, or any DOJ investigation. Rosenstein will tell Trump - truthfully - over and over again that he is not a Target and if Trump doesn’t realize the differences between Target and Subject for the DOJ he could get himself into serious trouble.
It keeps the media distracted from all Trump is doing to undo the damage Obama and his minions caused over eight years?
