WASHINGTON Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., isn't running for re-election but he had many words of praise Wednesday for the Democratic candidate who is trying to replace him.
Phil Bredesen, the former Democratic governor, is running in a tight race against Republican Rep. Marsha Blackburn for the open Tennessee senate seat.
Corker has donated money to Blackburn but said he won't campaign against Bredesen.
"I worked very closely with him for years, and he was a very good mayor, very good governor, very good businessperson and look, I'm not going to campaign against someone who, you know, I've been a friend with and worked with," Corker told reporters at a breakfast hosted by the Christian Science Monitor.

“I cannot think of two many times when a Democrat supports a Republican in the same way as described in the article.”
Only two times I can remember were Zell Miller in 2004 for GWB and Joe Lieberman for McCain in 2008. In those instances you had Democrats endorsing “Republicans” :-).
“Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., isn’t running for re-election but he had many words of praise Wednesday for the Democratic candidate who is trying to replace him.”
To survive, the republican party must purge itself of trash like the Corksucker.
I think Corker needs to be rightfully accused of not backing Blackburn because she is a woman.
Lets get vocal Tennessee.

And never forget what McShithead did to Billy Cunningham when Billy said Barack HUSSEIN Obama.
So political ideology is not important to this man?
Says Blackburn likely 6 points behind.

McCain also indefinitely suspended a campaign aide, Soren Dayton, for drawing too much attention to Obama’s relationship with g@d d@mn America Jeremiah Wright. As soon as McCain identified anyone working on his campaign who actually wanted to win, under the bus they went.
Yes, that is correct. And of course two should really be too. I also remember that in 1972 some Chicago aldermen supported Richard Nixon over George McGovern.
Levin should get this he might have her on his show.
If the Bush League Republicans can’t get an amnesty candidate they will always help the Democrat win.
They have done so repeatedly.
Corker will probably end up, after the election, as a revolving door appointee.
I didn’t notice the “too/two” :-) ...
I could only think of those two DINOs endorsing two RINOs :-), but I seem to recall many RINOs falling over backwards to say great things about various democrats when it’d be best to keep their mouth shut (McCain in 2008, Christie in 2012, basically any elite in 2016, the idiots in congress today clearly trying to throw control to the Dems ... ).
Wake up Tenn..if Corker, a so called Republican , praises the other parties choice to replace him...be glad he is going...and lets get a decent REPUBLICAN in his spot...
He has always been nothing but a Rich cry baby...glad to see him go..
.@MarshaBlackburn is a wonderful woman who has always been there when we have needed her. Great on the Military, Border Security and Crime. Loves and works hard for the people of Tennessee. She has my full endorsement and I will be there to campaign with her!
