Philadelphias mayors office and Police Department have begun separate investigations into the arrest of two African American men waiting to meet an acquaintance at a Center City Starbucks on Thursday after a video of the incident was widely shared on social media, triggering national outrage.

But it is equally delicious that Starbucks CEO is pleading for forgiveness. I loathe the liberal hacks at Starbucks.
Look, it is wrong for Starbucks or any business to sporadically enforce loitering rules. But whether or not they do, if you don't buy, get out....those are the rules.
My first inclination is to help the left fight left
‘Let’s you and him fight.’
Didn’t the Starbucks manager call the police? What did he expect was going to happen?
I have never bought anything from Starbugs.....................
I saw the video but it only showed them getting arrested. I’m curious about how things developed to get to that point. Were they asked to order something or leave by the manager? Or did the manager just call the police on them without even talking to them? I saw the usual beta-male virtue signaling in the video but could not determine what led up to the decision by the police to arrest them.
They were asked to leave.
....sporadically enforce loitering rules....

As a luddite I have always wondered how in the past they said “buy something more or get out” to achieve “table turn”(some fast food places purposely made plastic seats uncomfortable so diners would get up faster and be replaced),but in later years when dimwit tech-addicted Millenials came to sip a latte and stare at a phone or laptop, they let them stay four hours each. How do places make any money on ten people who buy 1 item and stay all day at a table?
Kinda a lotta overreaction! But it is fun to watch Starbux get raked over the justifiable actions of an employee based on insane leftist principles.
I miss the days when local stories were local stories.
Wanna bet both these angels have long rap sheets!
CEO is a back-stabbing wimp. Stand up for you staff you fool!
Too bad, liberal Starbucks. The place sucks. Over priced horrible coffee. Idiots who buy one cup then take up a table all day playing video games on free wifi. Now watch blacks start taking over Starbucks locations, just sitting there surfing on their phones. What will they be able to do? NOTHING! Paying customers start going elsewhere. It is going to be a funny thing to watch.
I’m on the road a lot for work. I will occasionally stop at a McDonald’s or Panera to use their Internet and sometimes a quick meeting. I always at least buy a drink.
These places and starbuck’s have set their business model as a community gathering place. So of course, they can’t complain when the community gathers there.
If I need a bathroom break, I usually use gas stations that I have bought gas from in the past.
Same question here - why did the manager call the police in the first place? THAT is the question that needs to be answered before any claims of “racism” are leveled at anyone.
And I am NOT a Starbucks fan but if there is more to this story than what the video shows, I would like to hear all of it! Most of the cops I know are far too short staffed to be wandering into coffee shops, especially in that number, to trespass people for no particular reason.
Selective outrage is a standard tactic of the left and poverty pimps.
They were loitering and asked to leave. When they refused, the cops were called. Why is the perp’s color a factor here? The media is breathlessly reporting this as if they expect (re: hope for) Black Lives Matter to riot. Who is wagging the dog here?
Why isn't Starbucks to blame, though, for calling the cops? It is going to get a pass because its run by liberals?
By the same token, how many Snowflakes go there, buy a small regular Coffee for a couple of bucks and hang out for hours staring at their Laptops?
The only time I ever go to Starbucks is when someone gives me a Starbucks Gift Card for Christmas. Then I treat myself to a Caffe Mocha.
Therefore Starbucks is racist.
