Pelosi claims Mueller was ‘fired’ in bizarre email to donors

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi is fundraising off the firing of “our only hope” Special Counsel Robert Mueller, but one problem: Mueller has not been fired.

The California Democrat sent out an email last week titled “Mueller FIRED” and asked people to donate to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) amid speculations that President Donald Trump may fire Mueller in retaliation for the FBI raid on his lawyer Michael Cohen.

But as the actual fundraiser email text acknowledges, Mueller was not fired by Trump.

Why do that? Haven't they misled, if not out an out lied, to us on numerous issues such as we must repeal & replace Obama Care, we must secure the border, we must defund Planned Parenthood, we must control spending, yada yada, yada, in their campaign contribution drives?

This is a nothing burger that both sides are guilty of employing. It's called hitting emotional hot spots with their base. The real difference is that the Democrats carried through way too often, while the Republicans had absolutely no intention whatsoever to deliver.

Most of us haven't been blaming Trump for this type of fund-raising. Ann Coulter is the only one I know of who thinks that Trump is not working to keep his promises, and for all I know she is playing "bad cop" to make Trump the moderate.

Otherwise, she lives down to Nero Wolfe's opinion ("While he does not think women make good domestics, he says "When they stick to the vocations for which they are best adapted, such as chicanery, sophistry, self-advertisement, cajolery, mystification and incubation, they are sometimes superb creatures." The southern ones also know how to cook corned beef.)
