The topic (if you read the article) is about LAUNCHING WARS on deceptive grounds. By wars, we are not talking about trade.

I’d rather we not be sidetracked talking about economics (of which there are multitude of other threads).

The question I’d like answered is this -— DID WE LAUNCH THIS MISSILE STRIKE ON SYRIA ON DECEPTIVE GROUNDS? <-— That is the topic of this thread.

Thanks.

ALL national governments have those in their history including the Chinese. And virtually ALL have the same source!

No, I am NOT an isolationist. What I am is a father, grandfather and great-grandfather of a number of male citizens who understands that it’s a dangerous world and we sometimes have no choice but to fight.
But it’s long past time to REDEFINE the phrase “STRATEGIC NATIONAL INTEREST” away from the current Globalist oligarch/Military-Industrial Complex interpretation BACK to it’s TRUE meaning that the NATION is genuinely at peril, complete with A FULL, HONEST, PUBLIC CONGRESSIONAL DEBATE AND PUBLIC & ON-THE-RECORD VOTES FOR A “DECLARATION OF WAR” BY OUR ALLEGED REPRESENTATIVES!
Unless, of course, you won’t mind if those kids you leave behind when YOU leave the planet can be sent off to some future NO-WIN MEAT GRINDER and a PREMATURE GRAVE!
Our very disturbing recent history prompts me to ask “Does ANYBODY CARE?”

“We have the greatest opportunity the world has ever seen, as long as we remain honest — which will be as long as we can keep the attention of our people alive. If they once become inattentive to public affairs, you and I, and Congress and Assemblies, judges and governors would all become wolves.”
Thomas Jefferson to Edward Carrington, 1787. ME 6:58

(We have met the enemy and he is US! Now you know HOW WE GOT HERE!)

The elephant in the room is that, on this side Reagan all our wars have been fought on deceptive grounds.

“I’m not sure there was a poison gas attack.”

Well, posting a Chinese propaganda piece isn’t going to prove your point.

Gen. Mattis stated unequivocally, that he saw conclusive evidence that Syria used chemical weapons and Russia assisted.

Yeah, but few will admit that. Or even care.

I appreciate your posting on this thread, but please, let’s focus on Syria (the topic of the thread), not trade.

The topic depends on how much credibility you want to give a source from a trading competitor. Notice the article blames the US for Russia's economic problems.

So exactly WHY would they do that?

Other than the fact that it’s RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA?

“So exactly WHY would they do that?”

Your mistake is thinking that Putin’s Russia makes decisions on a logical basis.

Why would they ally with Iran, North Korea, Syria and every other shithole rogue nation around?

No logic there.

Why would they apply pressure to Georgia, Ukraine, illegally annex Crimea...knowing that it would push it’s former Warsaw Bloc nations further into the Western NATO orbit?

Again, no logic.

So you’re resorting to the same kind of smear the Left uses against Trump?

Are you really that dim-witted? You’re kidding, right?

I wouldn’t call stating the reality that Russia has been a rogue nation for many years, and now again, since Russia had Putin in charge, a smear.

Their actions condemn themselves...yet you just can’t see why they would assist the Syrians in their chemical attack.

Gen. Mattis stated unequivocally, that he saw conclusive evidence that Syria used chemical weapons and Russia assisted.

So “he’s crazy” is all you got, just like the Left.

Just to clarify one more time.

No. He’s incompetent.

His actions are that of a rogue nation.

Allying with other rogue nations like Iran, NKorea and Syria and illegally invading Georgia, illegally annexing Crimea, and illegally destabilizing Ukraine with special operations forces and contractors.

There it is - nice and slowly clarified for you.

Just like the Left says Trump is incompetent.

Glad we cleared that up.

You can’t discern actions from allegations.

Putin’s actions have illustrated his incompetence.
