One of the main points in the pro-gun argument is that the gun is an object. Without a human picking the gun up, a gun will not move, will not jump up and shoot people all by itself.
You can’t make the same argument about a pit bull. If efforts can’t be instituted to combat dangerous animals...you should be fine with not treating malaria.

One of my brothers was an elite athlete. He used to run marathons. In the army, the drill Sargent requested he slow down, because he was afraid the others would have a heart attack or a stroke keeping up with him.
So one day, he’s about 30 years old, doing his weekend bike ride. Down in Houston Texas.
Two dogs launch after him, one a pitt bull. He tells me they would get close, and he would kick them in the face, then he would peddle fast, then slow down and repeat. He said the one dog fell off after a few miles, but the Pit was determined. He said it went for miles. He said he started to get scared. But after a few more miles, the pit gave up. Scared the hell out of him. The Pit wanted him bad.
