Yeah, we can chase our tail around the world or be a third world nation. Those are your options? Strong countries don’t our resources down ratholes in shitholes.

My son served in the middle east and I was a critic even before that. The boots on the ground know when a war is just or not. And i have seen number of idiotic unjust military actions by several presidents in my lifetime. So i need someone to explain why the world needs a traffic cop and it happens to be us.

This isn’t “playing traffic cop”......it’s going to end the war.

If not the U.S., then who?

We either take on the expected and “just” responsibilities, or we and the world will be paying a much higher price later. Without the world’s policeman, the world would have likely experienced a WWIII by now. Luckily, “all” we’ve had are “lesser” regional conflicts (aka: wars), and all of them were not on “friendly” ground.

Lessons of history need to be learned, even when they’re the most awful to learn and digest.

We are sending a piddly few thousand National Guardsmen to our southern border while we are siding with Islamic extremists (Isis) against an authoritarian, yet at least not anti-Christian regime, spending billions of dollars. And the gas attack is probably as big a lie as the WMDs in Iraq, the throwing of Kuwaiti babies out of incubators, and the Gulf of Tonkin incident.

Score one for the permanent government. Trump is following the same policies as his predecessors, but with more muscle.
