Somehow that goal of creating that red line on your map always advances.

The Saudis have turned their back on the palistines not caring about moving the U.S.A embassy to Jerusalem.

The West needs to signal to Russia no more Ukraine type annexations - I think the Russians are getting ready to make a move on that Estonian (European Union) county.

Seems like something Putin would do - I think he'd rather have europe buying his oil/gas than the Saudis.

Trump knows the Europeans are cowards and won't do anything embolding Putin and demonstrating you want to be on the Russia China side of the ledger

Just keep in mind that Iran has for years tried to tumble the Saudi power in the middle East....they are arch enemies. Obama sided with Iran for 8 years, a gigantic mistake as the US has for centuries sided with the Sauds and especially since the Ayatollah took over Iran....... Trump fully restored our relationship with Saudi almost immediately for he understands the dynamics of power struggle between Iran and Saudi.

(P.S Prophetically Saudi Arabia nor Egypt are listed in the muslim nations going against Israel when that time comes)

If we degrade the Syrian armies capabilities too much, you will see a Saudi rape orgy against every Syrian Christian remaining behind Assads lines.

Brilliant!!!

That’s why we cremated all Syrian military bases, targeted their troops, hit all their ammo dumps, and assassinated Assad tonight right? So we could see a Saudi rape-fest!

Get a grip.

Assad’s the one who cultivated ISIS when he found it convenient to support the insurgency in Iraq. No matter that he was also hosting Hezbollah’s Imad Mugniyeh at the time, who already had hundreds of dead US Marines to his “credit.” Indeed, he hosted ISIS’ recruiters as they drew recruits from Europe to Syria for TRAINING before they proceeded to Iraq to fight the US coalition.

Not to mention the recruiter and organizer for 9/11 Atta’s Hamburg cell were Syrian intel men, one their Imam of a mosque there so radical it had to be renamed after 9/11. And one of Atta’s team mates was the nephew of an East German communist Stasi official.

When the muslim chaplain Yee fled Gitmo with stolen documents and other materials on security there and staff and prisoners on digital files, his intended destination was ...
wait for it...
wait for it...
Damascus.

.....”Everyone in ISIS and Al Qaeda is from Saudi Arabia”......

That is not true. They’re dial up groups who are hard core Islamists who live throughout the middle East.....most get their paychecks by going to where ever Iran or Turkey calls them to.. (Rather like we have the ‘violent’ protesters the Dems use here.)

Why yes.....my son served in Desert Shield and also was in Kuwaitt during the Iraq war.....sorry but can’t reveal how he served.

However this war in Syria isn’t about oil, nor chemical weapons alone regarding or not how the US benefits. There’s many facets which have a direct impact on us in the long term.....strategic location matters as do geo-politics.

Regardless if we like it or not there are seriously bad actors in this world who control or support, or both, nation leaders who directly and indirectly affect our security. Irans growing power inside Syria has always been of concern.....that’s not going to change.

I think that all 3 are closely related based upon some of the language, but I don’t think they are the same. In my mind’s eye, I can see a regional conflict (Ps 83), followed by Israel obliterating Damascus, then becoming the land of unwalled villages since the majority of her enemies are taken care of, then Gog and Magog. Of course, we could do the same as step 2 and therefore, it just becomes Israel defeating the immediate neighbors who attack.

The Shadow knows.

US went to war in the 40’s over sea oil lines and tested by Japs.

Don’t even get me started on Lincoln.

Yes related. I’ve no idea how it will play out but if no one pulls back we are on the cusp of something biblical. I stated the other day, if this does happen, it will be exciting to see prophecy unfold and absolutely horrific. Then I’d like to see all the nations know just who God is...then what? A false peace ushered in by a global government for 1260 days? Indeed if this happens there is no doubt we are in the latter days of all the prophecies.

I don’t think Irans going to walk away from Syria.....they would settle if Syria was divided according to their interests....some think that might happen in time. ...Syria is too important to them. Assad cannot survive, nor would he have been able to, without the influx $$ and support of Iran. Iran also recruits and trains fighters out of Pakistan and Afghanistan......... Hezbollah fighters are also backed by Iran.

Gatestone Institute estimated that as of late 2016, Iran controlled over 70,000 troops deployed in Syria (15,000 soldiers of the Iranian military, 20,000 members of Liwa Fatemiyoun, 20,000 Iraqi militiamen in ten different groups, 10,000 Lebanese Hezbollah fighters, and 5,000 to 7,000 Pakistani and Palestinian militiamen), while also paying monthly salaries to 250,000 “militia and agents” supporting the Assad government.

So this war is really a Proxy war far more against Iran than with Assad.

It's an inheritance from the obsequious pacifism of Trump's predecessors. You want peace? ... then just submit. It was a slow process, but that was where we were at. What does it take to turn it around? An act of war. It's playground logic, and playground reality.

Not nearly the same......Obama demanded ‘regime change’...Pres. Trump has not mentioned even once regime change..... Rather strategic attacks on chemical weapons..... Britain also publicly stated very clearly this was NOT about regime change. And must be remembered France and Britain were actively involved in this attack against Syria's chemical weaponry.....who I've been listening to their Press conference for the last 30 minutes....

One other thing.....the efforts recently of Nation leaders meeting at the Security Council to force Syria to comply with the laws, which banned use of chemical weapons world wide, were blocked by Russia.
