Good for President Trump. He’s going to pardon Scooter Libby, which George W. Bush, for whom he worked, refused to do. The prosecutor, Fitzgerald, was appointed by Comey and he's friends with Comey.

Mr Cheney told the “Weekly Standard” magazine that Mr Libby, whose sentence of 30 months for perjury and obstruction of justice had already been commuted by Mr Bush, was a victim rather than a villain.
“Scooter Libby is one of the most capable and honorable men I’ve ever known,” Mr Cheney said. “He’s been an outstanding public servant throughout his career. He was the victim of a serious miscarriage of justice, and I strongly believe that he deserved a presidential pardon. Obviously, I disagree with President Bush’s decision.”
Mr Cheney disagreed publicly with Mr Bush just four times in the eight years they served together in the White House - on a gay marriage ban, on dismissing Donald Rumsfeld as Pentagon chief, on Washington’s gun ban and on the rapprochement with North Korea.
Mr Bush’s decision not to pardon Libby has angered many of his staunchest supporters defenders, who have used word like “disgusting” and dishonourable” about the Texan. On suggested it was like leaving a soldier on the battlefield.
Next to Ruby Ridge and Waco, this is one of the true travesties in American Justice.

There were stories around that Boosh II wasn’t smart when he was president which, at the time, I discounted. I was wrong, he was an idiot and a globalist, two traits I abhor.

Because the Muller thing with Trump is the same thing they did to Bush. He making the Plame clown show the Dems pull against Bush part of the story line.
Libby mis rembered some facts and had the book throw at him. Clintonites, like Comney, knowinly lied full scale and get book deals.
I don’t see how helping out a Bushy in the top 20 list of MAGA campaign promises. Or I missed the chants of “Pardon Scooter Libby!”
Very similar situation. A runaway special counsel was allowed to go after everyone even though no crime existed. Lame Plame was not protected by any law that made it illegal to put her name in the paper. In the end, Libby was targeted and prosecuted to settle an old feud. W (wuss) sat back and did nothing to help his people.

The case has its connections to Mr. Trump because Mr. Fitzgerald was friends with James B. Comey, who was then the deputy attorney general who assigned him the investigation after the attorney general recused himself. Mr. Cheney long suspected that Mr. Comey was taking revenge for a dispute between them over the legality of a surveillance program.
Mr. Comey would go on to become the director of the F.B.I. who was fired by Mr. Trump last year in the midst of the Russia investigation. His dismissal led the deputy attorney general, Rod J. Rosenstein, who was in charge after the recusal of Attorney General Jeff Sessions, to appoint Robert S. Mueller III as special counsel to take over the inquiry.

So this is all vendetta stuff. Hopefully it’s part of a larger deal Trump is making by helping out Cheney.

Cheney may not have been an idiot, but what makes you think he wasn't a globalist of one sort or another?
Cheney had his own agenda, and it probably wasn't yours or mine.
