Mike Pompeo, the hard-charging CIA director picked to be the next secretary of state, will tell the Senate on Thursday that years of soft U.S. policy toward Russia are "now over."...According to his prepared remarks, Pompeo will chastise Russia for acting "aggressively" and emphasize that the Trump administration considers Russia "a danger to our country." But he will also say that diplomatic efforts with Moscow, while challenging, "must continue."

You mean the State Department who’s current travel advisory for Syria warns that Chemical Weapons have been used by multiple factions on both sides of the conflict.
That State Department?
You mean the Russians whose rockets we use to transport NASA personnel to and from the International Space Station?
What!!
Collusion in space!!! Impeach!
He should fire everyone else at the State Dept. first.
It's worse than "collusion." I believe the NASA astronauts answer to a Russian commander on most ISS missions.
This dithering with Russia and Syria sucks the life out of this Administration. Maybe sometimes the best thing to do is nothing. Why does the USA have to poke at everything?

You do remember what happened when Obama pulled everyone out.
Yeah, us being involved over there sucks. The only thing that sucks worse, is not being involved over there.
The Middle East bleeds out around the world whether we’re involved or not.
The Middle East bleeds out around the world whether were involved or not.
Then nuke the lot of them and be done with it. It 10 or 15 years Donald Trump, Jr. can build some decent golf courses.

Yeah, the Russians! The evil regime that gave us the 9/11 hijackers, who spend millions to fill our universities with Islamic studies, and all after we saved their butts from Saddam.... wait, oh, that was our “ally” Saudi Arabia...never mind.
It’s not the golf courses proper that are the problem. It’s that regional sized sand trap that’s hard to avoid.
Sadly, we’re taking a mulligan right now.
The sane world needs to return the Islamic to the region, and slap a travel ban on them.
Let them live amongst themselves, where Sharia Law is accepted. They can purchase their neighbor’s six year old girls for wives, and stone them by the time they’re 9 if they’re unhappy.
We just shouldn’t have to baby sit the adults on our soil, or theirs for that matter.
well, there you go!
Pompeo doesn’t even have to make a statement. He can take the afternoon off and go fishing.
the person in his dept that leaked his speech gets all the glory as does the press
govt by leakers, the new ‘Iwannabefamous’ generation
Its really annoying that we are not self-sufficient on the rocket front.
Its that regional sized sand trap thats hard to avoid.
Sometimes a boil must be lanced, no matter how big it is. Best to do it before it gets even larger.

NASA no longer has Rocket Scientists....
Muslim outreach snuffed them out.
Because Russia is poking at everything. Together with our own Deep State. Their biggest fear is being forgotten, ignored. No longer feared. They are still resentful of America — not for our mistakes, but because of what we do right. They’re still way behind.
Stop blaming America! And Trump. He is doing a good job.
Well under new president, I hope this shifts radically and we win/lead space again.
PERFECT TIMING!!! Just after Russia has modernized every weapons system they have, while we were putting in toilets for our LGBTs in our Tridents.
Yep, GREAT TIME to start WW3 !!!
I’m not currently blaming Trump. But if Assad falls, the world will witness the Saudis rape, massacre, and torture of all Syrian Christians and Alawites on YouTube.
Then he will be blamed.
Concurring bump...if this President wants to launch missiles at someone, launch them at the ISIS camps in southeastern Syria and finish the mission.
