Survey of Chemical Attacks in Douma on 7th April 2018
Bellingcat ^ | April 11, 2018 | staff

On April 7th 2018 reports began emerging of alleged chemical attacks on the city of Douma, in the rebel held pocket of Eastern Ghouta, Syria.

Reports indicated that a significant number of people, including children, had been killed by these attacks.

This report will assess and verify the open source information regarding these attacks, and draw conclusions from the available evidence.

Based on the available evidence, it is highly likely the 34+ victims killed in the attack on the apartment building near al-Shuhada Square were killed as a result of a gas cylinder filled with what is most likely chlorine gas being dropped from a Hip helicopter originating from Dumayr Airbase.

Assad knows that when he goes, so does his country
Already balkanized and splintered into areas dominated by militias, tribal councils, foreign invaders from US and Turkey
He is the only national glue holding Syria together
And longtime honesf observers in the ground say the vast majority of Syrians support him in the territory the govt holds with about 70% of the remaining population

What we propose to take his place is... (crickets)
Not to worry - Bolton has tons of experience rebuilding Iraq and Afghanistan
Because arab and muslim people love us for violently changing their national leadership and occupying their oilfields

A week ago, he said we were leaving. It was Hillary who wanted to overthrow Assad. Suddenly, straight out of casting central, we get a tearjerker video of children allegedly gassed by Assad, who has zero motive to use CBW.

I think Trump is getting bad advice, and is surrounded by enemies.

I trust in God and in principles.

So you support the BATF attacking a church?

The fundamental difference between our positions appears to be a very different perspective on federal authority

When President Trump starts hiring a bunch of @ssholes who would have been contenders for top cabinet posts in a JEB BUSH administration, I’s say the chances are good that MAGA! was over before it started.

Gassing civilians with Chlorine is a different level of crime.

That isn't a simple conclusion, there are plenty of "gray areas".

Killing civilians is always bad, I think we can all agree about that. And there are lots of ways to die, none of them are good, particularly when the victims are innocent people.

So the main goal should be to reduce the violence in Syria and elsewhere. Our bombing in Syria and Iraq has killed hundreds of civilians, including many children. They died horrible deaths, many may have suffered as much or more than anyone dying from chlorine gas.

Ramping up hostilities in Syria won't save other children from dying, and in fact will probably kill more innocent people. If the goal is to punish Assad, then arrest and punish him. Starting up a campaign of bombing, even if the targets are supposedly military, will end up killing more innocent people than just died in Ghouta.

How is killing more innocent people a good response to someone else killing innocent people?

*** I didn’t say he was a dummy. He is a survivalist, and he has no respect for human life, similarly to most of the Islamic world. Assad has brought attacks on himself by Israel for decades, all preventable ***

Oh, yes, I remember when Assad, using unmarked jets in an effort to blame Egypt shot missiles, and then torpedoed the USS Liberty...Oh wait, that was our great Ally Israel’s false flag to cuck the US into war with Egypt.

That was not simply “a church”. But not interested in discussing it. Not remotely relevant.

Sure you don’t want to discuss it. The reality is that we sent our own military in against our own citizens, gassed them and bulldozed their home, shot members who tried to escape the inferno, and people like you applauded. People like you don’t care about life, or the rule of law, or the Constitution. The latter would be the reason we are not permitted to march or drive or fly into a sovereign nation and bomb them. Also there is constitutional basis to appropriate money to fund foreign rebels. ISIS/CIA rebels have used chemical weapons at least fifty times. It is Ok with you that they do that.

First of all, Assad gassed no one. The Deep State and the islamist rebels have pulled this trick before. Be honest, does it not make you suspicious that, every time we start to pull out of Syria, a chemical attack “magically” happens? Wake up!!

I don’t believe there was an attack. I believe it’s all propaganda to whip up the brainwashed sheeple into a pro-war frenzy.

But if the chemical attack was genuine (I don’t believe it) then it was carried out by the White Helmet terrorist group. Yes, White Helmets are radical islamist terrorists, not the “Heroes” the Hollywood trash portray them to be.

Even if the attack was real, who cares? How is it our business? We have no business being in Syria. Who made the US the World Police? No wonder the entire world hates us and would like to see the US destroyed.

I know my words sound harsh, but I don’t care. I have HAD IT with the US bombing countries and overthrowing their leaders. I’m 47 years old and, for most of my life, we have been involved in some kind of conflict. I’m sick of it. Just once in my life, I would like for us to mind our own business.

Russia, on the other hand, has every right to be there. Assad invited them because Russia and Syria have been allies for decades.

Ask yourself: Is it worth risking World War 3 for THIS?? For NOTHING?? I honestly believe the world has gone bat***t crazy.

Remember this: If Assad goes, Syria becomes a radical islamist state under sharia law. Christians, Alawites and other minorities will be completely wiped out. For some sick reason, there are plenty of FReepers who support that sick scenario because of their insane hatred of Russia.

Assad must stay. We must mind our own business or we may find ourselves in a nightmare that we can’t wake up from.

Theresa May is a madwoman who needs to be locked up and Mommy’s boy Macron is itching for a war to please his Globalist masters. Saudi Arabia was responsible for 9/11, so they can go straight to Hell.

Americans voted for Trump to protect our borders and keep us out of ridiculous foreign conflicts. If he allows the Deep State to goad him into war, he will lose a lot of support from his base. Linda Graham and McInsane want war. That, in itself, should tell anyone that this is a bad idea.

I ask again: How is the Syrian Civil War our business?
