Speaker Paul D. Ryan announced Wednesday that he will not seek re-election in November, ending a brief stint atop the House and signaling the peril that the Republican majority faces in the midterm elections.

I would be surprised if, at least the people who previously voted for Trump, fall for that. You have to remember that the media and democrats have exposed themselves as enemies of the United States now. They have nothing to offer other than open borders and higher taxes so everything has to be “get Trump” but the people who want jobs and better incomes aren’t going to be encouraged by a 24/7 drumbeat of news meant to destroy the economy. I think the voters can shock the establishment again.
I guess Ryan got his pile of cash, and is moving on to greener pastures. K-Street perhaps?
“is his district one where Republicans stand a good chance of winning?”
I think the Rs will hold it. This “blue wave” would have to be +70 seat high to threaten his district.
While the political environment certainly favors the Dems right now, we have a long way to go to November. Don’t join the suicide brigade and give up now. A million things are going to happen between now and then.
I will say this though ... I thought the midterms were going to be a cakewalk for the Rs after 2016. These wounds are self inflicted by the GOPe. People saying that the GOPe wants the Dems to win aren’t crackpot conspiracy theorists ... they’re 100% right.
Seriously, if the frigging GOP would at least *act* like they liked working with Trump only half of the time, they’d gain about 8 seats in the Senate and maintain a hold on the House. People are sick and tired of the 1960s/1970s era politics in DC, but it seems like that’s all the swamp knows.
One down...need a REAL conservative in that spot now..one who will support President Trump.
Coward is running for the hills
He destroyed the US with his crapulous bills and now is running like the yellow tail I always knew he was
He’s worthless. A little better than McConnell.
From KENNY at the Trump Family Train...
Great candidate in that district, Nick Polce. Ex special forces, #MAGA, for term limits the kind of fresh blood we need in DC.

Republicans who wont be coming back to Congress after 2018 midterm elections
And here’s another clue for you all
The walrus was Paul
The thing is, I think a sizable number of Trump voters will not be voting in 2018 and 2020. They are put off by the corruption of the congressional Republicans and discouraged by the Mueller investigation and Trumps unpopularity and low poll numbers. While on the other hand Democrat voters are going come out in huge numbers like cockroaches at night. They are just itching to bring Trump down at any cost.
Is the job easy to work with PDJT?
I don’t write off the prospects of more conservative SOH...Nunes?
What if PDJT has stuff on Ryan and forced him out for this reason?
What is McConnel’s status? He may be an island.
Call your Congressman today: “Scalise, please.”
Before we get stuck with Mcdouche.
“Speaker Paul Ryan Will Not Seek Re-election in November”..........
I have only two words............Thank God!
“Blue wave” is a myth. The left’s wet dream.
“Well, bye”
