Congress most powerful lawmaker has told friends he will not stand for another term in his Wisconsin district this autumn, reports Axios.
His exit would be a blow to the Republican party ahead of Novembers mid-term elections. [

Excellent news.

Ryan wants to go back to the Obama days. Good riddance. Hopefully McConnell does the same.

And not seeking election is his contribution to the Uniparty's efforts to give the House of Reps over to the left. And I'm sure he and the other RINO quitters in the House will be richly rewarded for their cooperation.
Thirty pieces of silver each, perhaps?

Conspiracy speculation, for sure. Ryan has to be bought off or have some scandal that's being kept hidden. He's served his purpose, doing everything he can to undermine President Trump. So his handlers have told him it's time to go. There's probably a dem in the wings that will be one more seat to end the Republican majority.
Thanks, Paul Ryan. You're a member of the triumvirate of traitors most responsible for backstabbing us....John Roberts, John McCain, Paul Ryan

I actually heard someone on Fox say that Ryan wanted to spend more time with his family.
No one willingly walks away from that level of power. Something has been uncovered he wants to keep quiet.

"Ryan wants to go back to the Obama days. Good riddance. Hopefully McConnell does the same."Sadly he will get on the swampian K-Street/C-of-C gravy train and so would Mitch just like Eric Cantor did and get a pay increase.
It is time for serious legislation about staying in DC and selling your soul and your families to lobbyist. I have been on a screed about this since 10/2010, it is maddening....

I'm tempted to withhold my glee until we find out who will replace him.
But then I think - Could they be any worse?
And then I agree - Great news!

Well, he had to back off on that to get Trump’s support when his seat was threatened by Paul Nehlen. Once secure, he had no problem undermining the guy who helped him.

There is nothing quiet about it. Ryan does not want to fight for MAGA. He’s a K Street progressive corportist all the way.

Isn’t that the guy that, all of a sudden, started saying “repeal and replace” instead of just “repeal”?
