Good, why sacrifice your family if you’re not accomplishing anything anyways

Well, it is Axios - take it with a big grain of salt.

However, Ryan IS on a downward trend in Wisconsin, and his wife is wealthier than anyone realizes, plus he’s already got a Gated Home, so he’s all set.

Besides, being a Lobbyist pays better than his current gig. ;)

Speaker Paul Ryan is a truly good man, and while he will not be seeking re-election, he will leave a legacy of achievement that nobody can question. We are with you Paul!

Now I’m worried.

House Speaker Paul Ryan will not run for re-election!

House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., announced Wednesday that he is not seeking re-election in November — a move that comes as the GOP girds for a tough fight to keep control of the House.

Ryan told senior GOP members that he would retire in January after serving out his full term, his office said in a statement.

Seems that the GOP knows the midterms will be brutal.

There goes the last voice for entitlement reform in Washington. I hope all the Ryan-bashers will be happy when we start seeing Greek-style austerity measures in 10 years.
