While the national debate continues on whether school teachers should be allowed to posses firearms in classrooms, one Pennsylvania school district is moving forward with arming its teachers... with baseball bats.
The Millcreek School District, which is located near Erie, announced it is arming up to 500 teachers with baseball bats in case of an active shooter, WICU-TV reported. The district said it spent $1,800 on the 16-inch wooden bats.
The bats are not quite the same size used in baseball games. Typical baseball bats are at least 30 inches long.

No. Get them night stick holders like the police use. They
can walk around with it on their side.
Many teachers would have trouble getting them out of the holders. We are not talking about buff, well trained military/police types of people. Or even individual minded.
These are college liberals for the most part, some of us are the exception, or were, I stopped teaching 2004. I doubt many will ever carry a gun or train for it. Today’s news is Florida school where 17 died refuses money to arm teachers!
Parents should remove their children from schools where socialism is so strong NO effort to save children exists.
I’m quite sure that new Dilbert theme has just been seen.
I think the attention that NatGeo brought to the table in the October 2001 issue describes Davey and his ilk perfectly.
