Baltimore City students scored near the bottom in reading and math compared to children in other cities and large urban areas on an important national assessment given in 2017.

In fourth- and eighth-grade reading, only 13 percent of city students are considered proficient or advanced. In fourth-grade math, 14 percent were proficient and in eighth-grade math 11 percent met the mark, according to the National Assessment of Educational Progress, a federally mandated test from the U.S. Department of Education...

That put the Baltimore ahead of only Detroit and Cleveland, and sometimes ahead of Milwaukee and Fresno, Calif. — areas of the country that also suffer from high poverty and crime.

...

The state did not release the percentage of students proficient in reading and math on Tuesday morning. A spokesman said the department had not had time to analyze the data.

Baltimore. Detroit. Cleveland. What do these cities have in common? Oh yeah, they’ve been run by the Dims for 50+ years.

So does the crime make them have bad grades? Or do their bad grades make them turn to crime and live in poverty? Or perhaps there is something else, someting in common at the root of both issues.

“Baltimore students score near bottom in reading, math on key national assessment”

The recent destruction of historic artwork in Baltimore by the government should turn this situation around double quick.

The more we spend for unionized education the worse the students’ performance. Throw out the union!

Maybe their Republican mayors could work together with fathers to help their kids in school.

Oh look, I made a funny.

No matter the demographics, the higher the % of free school lunches, the lower the test scores. So eliminate free school lunches and test scores will improve. #FixedIt

As long as they think that error, they will stay outside the American rewards system even if they continue to raise hell. In America, in fact in the free world, it is the educated who succeed. Race does not matter at all. Education does matter.

don’t even venture inside the beltway.

Yes. Just put a fence around it to keep the rats inside and let them do their destruction until they are eaten alive by their own ignorance and violence against each other.
