Elizabeth Warren forum down the drain [Fauxcahontas loses out]

A Bay State college student gave U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s televised town hall-style forum the hook by standing up for her troupe’s performance of “Urinetown” that had already been booked for the same stage.

Westfield State University President Ramon S. Torrecilha announced the MSNBC broadcast, set for Friday, is now called off after a social media campaign he criticized as costing the college a “missed opportunity.”

So this Mass. public college tried to boot out a student drama production in order to hold a televised forum for Eliz. Warren in the same campus theater. Students didn't roll over for Fauxcahontas, however, and did a social media campaign to pressure the college admin. to reverse the decision.

Fauxcahontas loses out to "Urinetown" .... never saw that squalid musical, but apparently it is a rather awful, sophomoric left-wing rant against corporations and society. About what they would have gotten from Fauxcahontas but with students providing the entertainment instead.

Pretty funny that the college tried to accommodate Warren and MSNBC by booting out their own student left-wing drama, but student “resistance” ended up booting out Fauxcahontas, instead!

I would pass up both, always.

I was actually going to a whole bunch of Broadway shows in NYC during the time that “Urinetown” had its run, but I never had the slightest interest in seeing it. Sounded like self-important squalid left-wing ranting, not my idea of entertainment, usually.

Maybe, but in this case the college president was very eager to accommodate Warren and MSNBC.... it’s just that the students involved with the drama production decided they would not be pushed around. They “persisted”.....

Heard this on a talk show out of Boston last week.

When I first heard it, I was hoping the name of the musical was "You're In Town".

Then again, if anybody happens to encounter Faux, one could greet her with "You're in town?" for at least a double, if not a triple entendre.
