Israeli officials: U.S. must strike in Syria

The United States must attack the regime of Bashar Assad in Syria in response to the regime chemical gas strike on the Syrian town Douma that killed more than 70 people, Strategic Affairs and Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan said Sunday.

Speaking on Army Radio, Erdan, who is Netanyahu’s number two in Likud, said he hoped US military action against the Assad regime would be taken again, as it was when the regime used chemical weapons against its people in the past.

“The shocking attack shows the incredible international hypocrisy of the international community focusing on Israel confronting the terrorist organization Hamas that is sending civilians to our [border] fence, when dozens are being killed in Syria every day,” Erdan said. “It shows the need for strengthening the presence of Americans and other international forces, because without them the genocide we are seeing will only intensify.”

"Israel is simply standing for its own interests."

And we should stand up for our interests and tell them to die for their own goals instead of telling us what we have to do.

Israel wants anarchy throughout the Middle East and doesn't care how many Americans die for that goal or how many more trillions we borrow to achieve that goal.

Their not lifting a finger to protect Christians from the rabid animals they're backing with air strikes, money, arms, training, and medical help, seems to have not made a dent in many people's "Hail Israel" view but it's very significant to me.

Quid pro quo would be our supporting Assad with air support, money, arms, training, and medical help, while Assad was killing Jews. Our not doing any of those things is more then they deserve after generations of American Christians helping prop up their socialist State only to have the mass slaughter of Christians on their doorstep ignored by Israel when they could have easily helped.

And how are we supposed to attack them?

Invasion?
Air?
Missiles?

Then what? And then what?

In all honesty, how is it anti-Israel to be against the US getting involved (further involved) in Syria?

The US is a sovereign nation. We don't take orders from other countries, allies though they may be, and I think it's highly inappropriate for an Israeli government official to make this kind of statement.

What a freak show the world has become. All illusionary, all the time.

America's friends, the freedom-loving moderate Syrian rebels.

America's enemy, dark and sinister Russians.

I know they’re our allies, but must we really conduct Israel’s foreign policy for them? I’m sure they can strike Syria if they think it’s in their best interest, which it actually is, unlike the US.

Christians in Israel have full freedom, and any notion that Israel should have gone crusader on syria and islam ignores the reality of US hatred of Israel during Obama’s reign of terror. They were fighting for their own survival.

Gone "Crusader"? During the Crusades their forebears sided with the Muzlames and they're doing the exact same thing now in Syria.

They could fly down half the length of Africa to save passengers on a hijacked airliner taking six or seven planes, one a full hospital and the others loaded with men and light equipment, but they couldn't fly air strikes, special forces, and transport for the people they damn well knew were going to be slaughtered 1/10 as far as they went to save airline passengers?

Come on, it has nothing to do with their "survival". It has to do with their support of ISIS and walking hand in hand with the Saudis. They're not a bit better than Obama and the band of Muzlame Brotherhood thugs he brought to Washington. Obama in office had nothing to do with it. What, he'd use harsh language in a little speech for his media pals? Say nasty things about their leaders? Posture and pretend he could keep Congress from continuing to send military aid to Israel? Bow more deeply the next time he was reporting to his Saudi masters and beg them to stop playing nice with Israel?

Please, Obama and Israel were backing the same team in Syria, how was that a "reign of terror" for Israel?

We see so much the same way but are light years apart on this one. Amazing.

I see Israel as a great benefit in the mid-east, a coastal, forward staging area. I see them as the only democratic state in the area and the affinity that goes with that similarity.

I see them beset by enemies since their inception and the US generally supportive over the years with the exception of obama.

I do see them using isis as a common cause with saudi and others, but I don’t see that the USA has been a bit helpful to the mideast Christians that I recall.

I also see them as a natural branch that will be regrafted.

Israel were fighting for their survival under Obama?

And now they are good?

Well, they will be good after America attacks Syria?

Then what?

Iran is surely next?

Then what?

Yes.
Much better than before.
Syria is their enemy.
They rejoice that their enemy has been injured.
Not necessarily.
Perseverence.
