Nevadas GOP governor has come out against President Trumps plan to send the National Guard to the U.S.-Mexico border.
A spokeswoman for Gov. Brian Sandoval said in an email to the Associated Press Friday that Sandoval doesnt believe deploying members to the border would be an appropriate use of the National Guard.
Defense Secretary James Mattis signed a memo Friday authorizing the National Guard to deploy up to 4,000 troops to the border.
Trump had announced last week that the military would send troops to defend the southern border until his border wall was completed. The White House later clarified that the National Guard would be sent to the border.
Arizona and Texas have both stated that they will send troops to the border starting this weekend.
Oregon Gov. Kate Brown (D) vowed Thursday to reject the request to send National Guard troops to the border.
A traitor. Career ending move.””
I live in Nevada. He isn’t a conservative & should not have the title Republican. He is leaving office after November elections-—so he doesn’t care what happens.
There is a large influx of illegals in Nevada-—especially in the hotels & casinos in Las Vegas. Since the Nevada Legislature voted to give illegals driver’s licenses, MY vehicle insurance premium for uninsured drivers has gone from 28% to 48% of the premium. My monthly payment has gone up over $50 and the last accident I had was Oct 1966. My last ticket was over 15 years ago-—for seat belt.
The pressure on those of us living here isn’t pleasant. Now, the big push is about the ‘homeless’. They are trying to make taxpayers support homeless in MOTELS & HOTELS & taking over old buildings & renovating them FOR THE HOMELESS. Like feeding feral cats-—they keep coming back & they keep multiplying.
This state spends alot of money in all of those categories.
His state doesnt share a border with Mexico.””
TRUE-—Nut there are thousands of illegals in Las Vegas working in the hotels & casinos behind the scenes.
Whatever the hell that might have meant.
PLUS—Sandoval is Hispanic.
“His state doesnt share a border with Mexico.”
I’m sure his state is suffering from drug problems due to an open border. Seems like some Gov’s forget that.
Obviously has a limited understanding of providing a national defense
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people living life in peace, you
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will be as one
As per wiki:
National Guard units can be mobilized for federal active duty to supplement regular armed forces during times of war or national emergency declared by Congress, the President or the Secretary of Defense.
If Sandoval is a true Republican, I am the sister of Mother Theresa.
Sandoval will be the last GOP governor of Nevada.
Does he think Nevada is on the border?
It may as well be - it is so invaded. When escaping Mexifornia, I didnt consider any border states or any state touching a border state. No point not even noticing i moved. I love being back in the US!
When 50% of your casino workforce is illegal then it is not a good use of your Guard.
Another bought-and-sold “GOP” elitist
Yes, career ending move
Did this guy whine about it when Obama and W pretended to use the NG to patrol the border?
You can bet a forensic audit of this governor and his family would have a lot of “interesting” sources of funds...
That’s the thinking alright-but make them SAY it. One world, no borders starting with US. We lose our identity and sovereignty first-make’em say it, admit that’s what they want! Then tell them to open their homes and car doors first-live the dream now! Time to go on the offense against such thinking. I’ll stop defending my country when people who want open borders allow any-and every-one into their personal homes.
Yes, time for a deep foray into all of his and his familys various associations...
Every time I’ve been to Vegas in the last 20 years every hotel we stayed at had foreign, Mexican or South American, housekeepers.
