Nevadas GOP governor has come out against President Trumps plan to send the National Guard to the U.S.-Mexico border.
A spokeswoman for Gov. Brian Sandoval said in an email to the Associated Press Friday that Sandoval doesnt believe deploying members to the border would be an appropriate use of the National Guard.
Defense Secretary James Mattis signed a memo Friday authorizing the National Guard to deploy up to 4,000 troops to the border.
Trump had announced last week that the military would send troops to defend the southern border until his border wall was completed. The White House later clarified that the National Guard would be sent to the border.
Arizona and Texas have both stated that they will send troops to the border starting this weekend.
Oregon Gov. Kate Brown (D) vowed Thursday to reject the request to send National Guard troops to the border.
And giving illegals money for welfare, education, and medical costs is not an appropriate use of our taxes either.
He doesn’t have any say in the matter if the Guard has been nationalized and called up.
His state doesn’t share a border with Mexico.

Um...this is an invasion from another country. In hordes. What IS the “National Guard” used for? How foolish of me to think they’re to guard the nation.
No, he didn’t. But like Never Trumpers and illegal alien lovers, he couldn’t miss the opportunity to criticize Trump. Haven’t seen much from others but suspect Laxalt Junior is saying the same, as well as Heller.
If the border problem is not dealt with...he will.
Doesn’t have to share a border to have one heckuva problem. From last week...

The governor is a weasel.
I wonder what Gov. Brian Sandoval’s definition of “national guard” is?
Let’s see:
Define “NATIONAL”
Now define “GUARD”
The federal government is not dependent on state consent to protect them from invasion.
National defense is a constitutional responsibility of the federal government and it has the duty to enforce the federal laws.
The Constitution is the supreme law of the land and state officials feelings about it are irrelevant.
Our border will be secured.
From 2012...

I got a pole hidden in my body, and I feel good.
The hotels and casinos want cheap help. Their profit isn’t big enough!
So defending our borders from an invasion isn’t an appropriate use? What, then, is appropriate? Meals on wheels?
Note that Gov. Sandoval had no such objection to Nevada National Guard being sent to Kuwait a couple years ago. Nevada does not share a border with Kuwait, in case the Governor didn’t notice.
That will have an impact upon securing the southern border.
Now what is President Trump going to do about the western
border which supplies 1/2 or so of the illegals?
Must use a lot of cheap Mexicans somewhere in Nevada, eh?
“He doesnt have any say in the matter if the Guard has been nationalized and called up.”
I had uncles, cousins and friends, who learned that lesson in WWII, the Korean War, Cal Berkeley, LBJ’s Nam bs and the call ups to protect the Opecker Princes oil prices in the middle east.
This call up will protect Americans in America, not some Deep State entity in another part of the world.
