If Mexico is not in perpetual mortal fear of offending the US, we’re doing something very very very wrong.

Totally agree! Though this action doesn’t authorize our military to take violent action against illegals, there’s nothing wrong with “militarizing the border” when we’re faced with an invasion. Screw the Posse Comitatus nonsense — the Constitution gives the President the power to conduct war.

Just imagine if Trump had 60 or 70 percent of the public behind him and could deal with Mexico as he truly pleased and as they deserve.

senators in Mexico are calling on their government to retaliate by cutting off cooperation on security and immigration issues.
It appears that Mexico has been cooperating...with coyotes and cartels.

The important word being ‘Mexicans’ - this is not their country, so they can be mad all they want.

Follow the money here. The largest employer for Mexicans is the United States. Without money sent to Mexico from the USA the economy of Mexico, especially rural Mexico, would collapse.
The USA is the release valve for political and social frustration in the political parties/families that own Mexico so they wont riot against them.
Lastly the flow of drug money into Mexico is important as the corruption is rampant and Money is too good to pass up.

...And ban travel by American citizens to Mexico...
Right. Let Mexico join North Korea on a list of countries where US citizens may not travel.

“senators in Mexico are calling on their government to retaliate by cutting off cooperation on security and immigration issues.”
How can you cut off cooperation that doesn’t exist?

And lets’ tell the American a$$holes who go down there for vacation, “don’t bother to call your local American Consulate if the Mexicans f*ck with you. We’ve told them not to take your call you quislings!”
To: Helicondelta
If Trump wants to play hard ball he could declassify documents naming which Mexican senators have been helping hunt down drug cartel thugs.

I don’t remember any laws being passed to make America the Mexican welfare program. I know it’s not in the US Constitution or Bill of Rights.
Is Mexico declaring war on the USA via bad mouthing our President?
