That’s a relief! I need to go peek in at DH and see how bad it is there. Both parents were up on branches last time I checked.
And a GHO is in the hollow tree where the GGOs like to nest. This could be interesting!
I’m 46. But that quiz says I act like I’m 31.
Yikes!!! It’s horrible there! Hope the nest survives this!
How does it feel to get to go back in time? :)
A relief indeed! I figured it would calm down before getting here but you never know with storms.
DH is getting hammered. LOTS of lightning there. River finally went down to the nest a couple of minutes ago.
I’ll check the GGO tree in a minute. I’m going to step outside to see if I can see any lightning from the storms that are just north of us.
Be careful out there!
Lots of lightning but it was still too far off to see more than flashes in the sky. Getting ready to head back out now that the storms are closer. Pretty windy out there but it felt good.
Might not be out there long. There’s a severe storm warning with the storms that are headed here.
Hope you get some good shots! Don’t get zapped.
Well that was a bust. Lots of lightning but it’s still just a little too far to see bolts.
But it started raining as soon as I got to my spot. GRRRR! Can’t get ANY shots through windows because of all the trees around the house.
Well, bummer. I was waiting for lightning pics. LOL! I guess you had to be north of you. Still raining at DH. Maybe I’ll leave it up when I’m trying to go to sleep. And pretend.....
I act 27 too!
Doncha love being a millennial? LOL! Let’s change history. :)
Well, lots of 27 year olds like the Rolling Stones! :-)
Bummer is right. I was hoping to GET lightning pix. LOL
Wouldn’t have mattered if I’d been able to stand outside any way. No bolts or streaks any way. Just bright flashes up in the clouds lighting things up, like at DH.
Pretty windy at the beginning but now it’s settled down to just rain. We’re glad the storms came through as late as they did. It had cooled off enough to take some of the steam out of them. No big clean-up tomorrow. :-)
Got that right! LOL!
Sorry you didn’t get the pictures you wanted, but glad the clean-up will be minimal! Who needs having to clean limbs out of the yard.
I’m just glad I didn’t dust this morning. It would have been a giant fail after the sandstorm hit.
Feels great!
There will be plenty of opportunities ahead. Storm season is just getting started. :-)
There are twigs and small branches in the yard from the winds today. I felt them underfoot when I was walking around earlier. But nothing big came down this time and that’s good. We already have a good-sized pile of limbs that blew out over the winter that need to be burned.
Darn tootin’ it’s a good thing you didn’t dust today. After seeing that wall of dust that blew in, you’ll probably need to vacuum the furniture and stuff. I don’t see how a dust cloth would do the job, even with the house closed up. That stuff must sneak in through any little nook and cranny. blech!
It does sneak in and especially since we have really old window frames. I showed the pictures to my son and he asked if I was ready to move now. LOL!
Tempting but mmmm....no. At least not yet. I wouldn’t mind spending the summer there. it’s cooler. :)
LOL! Not even that dust is enough to get you to move up there. Can’t blame ya a bit! TOO COLD during winter!
Just thought to check the Berry cam to see how things went there when the storms blew through. That tree was reeeeeeeally rockin’ for a few minutes. The poor eaglet rode it out alone, hunkered as flat as it could get and most unhappy.
