And don’t forget that Mueller was involved in the U1 deal also.
This guy Huber is going to keep his investigation strictly on the internal aspects, post Mueller. He’s not going to look into the the fact that both Rosenstein and Mueller were deeply involved in the U1 conspiracy, and therefore should have recused themselves from this phony “Russia” investigation.
Neither will Huber investigate the illicit warrants, obtained from the FISA court, that set this political witch hunt in gear.
I’ll wager you that Huber is going to do all he can to protect the reputations of the FBI and DOJ. None of the dirty Deep State operatives will ever be held accountable. This so-called internal investigation will amount to a white wash, and thus give the green light for Mueller to proceed unabated, so to provide the Democrats the ammo they need to impeach Trump after they sweep the House in the Midterm elections.
The Trump base can plainly see that the president is being politically pummeled by Mueller’s wolf pack, and there is no cavalry coming to his rescue.
Only those who are willfully blind would try to put a positive spin on this treachery.
Ummm, Democratic Underground is over *that* way.
Everyone can see each position on the board. Patriots, enemies of the people, curious bystanders; it's clear to all.
So, the essential question is: why can't Trump get out of the box? And please, we don't need another explanation of the political alliances nor bureaucratic mechanics.
I'm talking about the MIC. I'm actually in agreement with EG: I think the coup needs a forceful and direct response. So, where is it? Speculative answer - Trump doesn't have (full) support of the military.
Conclusion: Trump isn't acting because the MIC has already made their choice. For whatever reason(s), their assessment of his character and leadership capabilities has resulted in being non-committal. Therefore, Trump is forced to allow the swamp to process the outcome on their terms.
