Everyone can see each position on the board. Patriots, enemies of the people, curious bystanders; it's clear to all.
So, the essential question is: why can't Trump get out of the box? And please, we don't need another explanation of the political alliances nor bureaucratic mechanics.
I'm talking about the MIC. I'm actually in agreement with EG: I think the coup needs a forceful and direct response. So, where is it? Speculative answer - Trump doesn't have (full) support of the military.
Conclusion: Trump isn't acting because the MIC has already made their choice. For whatever reason(s), their assessment of his character and leadership capabilities has resulted in being non-committal. Therefore, Trump is forced to allow the swamp to process the outcome on their terms.
“Speculative answer - Trump doesn’t have (full) support of the military.”
That maybe the case. He’s got little to no support from anywhere else in our corrupt govt. I guess we’re going to have to watch this play out.
“Why can’t Trump get out of the box?”
Easy answer: Think of Mueller as the cop staked outside your home, waiting for you to slip up: he’s going through your trash; he’s watching to see if you forget to put on your seat belt: he’s waiting for you to do that rolling stop at the corner intersection, or answer your cell phone while driving, etc. Anything he can use to pull you over, find cause to search your vehicle, and then arrest you. That’s Mueller’s reason for being.
IOW - Meuller is right up Trump’s ass.
Anything President Trump does to fight back, Mueller will consider “obstruction.” That is where this so-called investigation is going. That is where this investigation was ALWAYS going.
