Noor Salman, the wife of Pulse nightclub shooter Omar Mateen, was declared not guilty on all counts Friday morning.
She faced charges of obstruction and providing material support to a terrorist organization.
A guilty verdict could have lead to life in prison.
Prosecutors and defense attorneys painted radically different pictures of Salman over the course of the trial -- on the one hand helping her husband prepare for the attack and on the other, an abused woman who "married a monster."

Keeping with that meme - it’s not hard to see how a jury would acquit his wife who knew nothing about this wild eyed homophobic murderer (and not an assist of Islamic Terrorism)
Is the verdict wrong? Hard to say - I’d blame the prosecution first.

When a Muslim man embraces radical Islam people need to look at the wife or girlfriend in his life as one of the roots of that radicalization. Especially if the woman has family overseas or has been there herself recently. Even if she was born here or is a citizen of long standing. Look to the woman. Why? Because she is the one most likely to be swayed by appeals to emotion.
In turn she will do what she can to convince her husband or boyfriend that her new understanding of the “enemies” of her home nation require a new understanding of Islam and the actions arising from that.
So, I feel in my heart that she was very much guilty.
I believe the the government purposely lost the case.
As soon as she brought out the fact that the father was a paid FBI informant and that the FBI was working directly to recruit her husband the shooter the government deliberately lost the case.
She was going to make public more information on the corrupt and politicized Obama FBI.
The corrupt FIB and DOJ do not want to arrest or imprison any Muslim terrorists period. It is as simple as that.
They will always help them avoid prosecution.
With that said, I have not been following this particular case very closely and I am not in a position to second-guess the jury. So I won't.

It would be great if cases were always open and shut, but they seldom are. Juries are presented with evidence, and are supposed to reach a judgment. Many now expect to be presented with a case in which the verdict is so obvious they will not suffer any pangs of regret for voting guilty. Judging by your reply to my original post, and many others in this thread, the jury was correct to not find O.J. guilty because they did not have 100% proof that he did it. No one saw him do it, and it wasn't caught on camera.
