The ratings should be very good.
Enjoyed the political jokes. The transgender grandson not so much.
This sounds remarkably refreshing! I’ll have to look it up and watch! I guess I can get it on youtube?
SHULD WE INVITE HER TO TAKE A LOOK AT BECOMING A FREEPER?
We loved it at our house. We will watch again.
I generally belong to the 'Keep politics out of entertainment' camp. But being bombarded by liberal crap so often, it's refreshing to see 'our side' once in a while. My wife is conservative as can be, but watches those Law & Order shows that are constantly spewing socially 'relevant' issues up from a liberal viewpoint. Makes me want to hurl.
We inadvertently tuned in about halfway through the new Roseanne show last night, and decided to wait until we can catch the whole program on-demand, maybe tonight...
Just don’t let her sing the National Anthem again.
I wanted to hate it. I found it remarkably balanced and pretty honest.
It’s perfect to have Laurie Metcalf as a pussy-hat wearing lib! I assume the character is still single. Of course, the character was once a cop as well but maybe people won’t remember that.
How did she ever get John Goodman to agree to come back? He’s an extremely fine actor, but a Liberal loon.
They actually ran TWO shows last night. In both, I though the writing was good.. very witty and crisp. But, the acting... particularly Roseanne, was awful. Her timing was WAY off.
It seemed better in the second show. Maybe, she needs to get back into the swing of things... and, the writing was even better as they started moving away, a little, from the original character setups.
Should be interesting to see where they go with this.
When did things shift that Roseanne became a deplorable?
Not bashing her, but at times I just have to shake my head. Didn’t watch, and probably won’t (not my cup of coffee), but good for them.
A flashback to the tone of All In The Family.
We recorded and watched this afternoon. Pretty good. Boy in a plaid skirt ... I could live without that.
