Documentary filmmaker and left-wing activist Michael Moore took to Twitter on Monday and shared the one thing he says weve learned since last months horrific mass shooting.
If theres one thing weve learned since Parkland, its that the voting age should be lowered to 16. Other countries do it, we should too.
Moore was among the throng of celebrities who took to social media to shower praise on the thousands of students and activists who hit the streets in Washington, DC, and in other cities across the country and marched in support of gun control.
Id say at least one million people in the streets of DC! Historic! Moore Tweeted on Saturday. This photo doesnt even show the full breadth of it. Thank you Parkland students and kids everywhere. You have made it clear to the adults: Either join us or get out of the way. We are here & we are coming.'
The logic of lowering the legal voting age to 16 has been circulated by several celebrities in recent weeks.
The future belongs to this generation and they fully realize it. Let let them vote. Change voting age to 16, said actress Mia Farrow.
Simpsons writer Mike Scully wrote, Raise gun-buying age to 25 and lower voting age to 16.
Steve King
If you are a teenager & believe you wont be responsible enough to own a gun until 21, why should you vote before 21?
Countries that allow its citizens to vote at 16 include corruption-ridden Brazil and Cuba, which hasnt head a free and open election in more than 50 years.

There should be a weight limit as well for MM.
Evil fat and stupid is no way to go through life, Mikey.
Every time I see this guy’s ugly face, and read or hear about the stupid crap he says, I think of three words:
1) Fat
2) Commie
3) Bastard
I want the voting franchise restricted to married people and property owners.
At they least they contribute to society. I’m well aware it would eliminate the Democrat electorate.
But here Moore tells us teens aren’t mature enough to own guns but they sure as heck are mature enough to vote.
Got it.
Those countries being Argentina, Brazil, Nicaragua and Austria. Sound like countries you think the U.S. should be looking up to?
These people can't keep their logic consistent. One minute they're saying 16-year-olds are wise, mature and ready and able to decide our country's leader, then in the next breath say 20-year-olds are immature and unready and the age to purchase guns and tobacco needs to be raised to 21.
Good point.
Liberalism isn’t based on logic; its based on expediency and identity politics.
Whatever lets it grab power. Yutes are a useful tool nothing more and they too are expendable.
There are more 16 year olds imbibing some form of alcohol this year than ever have showed up for all the marches in history. Wouldn’t that be documented evidence of the drinking age should be lowered to 16?
If you can’t trust them to take a shot after voting for the least detestable candidate, you can’t trust them to vote in the first place. (Probably should just move polling places to bars anyway - after all, no one there objects to actually showing an ID...)
..... And Raised to "After Death" .... So more disenfranchised Democrats can vote ....
Yeah because kids are more prone to liberal propaganda...
same age as his girlfriend
Why stop there, Fat Mike?
Lower it to 14 like in the movie “Wild In The Streets”.
And then lower the age for president to 21.
And soon the kiddos will want to take out ANYBODY who’s over 10.
If there's one thing we've learned since Parkland, it's that Michael Moore is still an ugly demagogue whose mouth ought to be sewn shut until he loses about 400 lbs.
As with many Freepers, I was more politically astute than most of my contemporaries at 16. Still I would have voted for any candidate named Dick, just for the humor factor. Any candidate who had an odd name ( and not ridiculous ) would have been right out. If a girl I liked wanted a certain candidate, I would have probably voted for them no matter their take on policys.
Hey, Mike, uh NO. Go have another Subway Club with quadruple meat and extra mayo.
If The Left Was Telling The Truth: The Democrats AND The Left, in all of its forms, are losing more and more voters and votes, each and everyday, so let’s decrease this problem by: lowering the age in which one can vote; allow illegal immigrants to vote; include votes from the dead; allow voters to vote in more than, just, one location; not verifying, to the best of abilities, who it is that’s voting-that is, going against everything that Voter I.D. Laws would help stop from happening; allowing The Left to cheat their way to political victory, always; allow judicial activism to help The Left win, whenever it’s “necessary to do so”;...
I don’t want the non-taxpaying youngsters pulling the election trigger on me.
They are simplistic saps who are played by the media. It isn’t until they are older that they start to seek out their OWN music that isn’t pushed on them by “The Charts”/Big Media’s monopoly.
If they don’t know sh!t about culture, or taxes, or history, or world affairs, where does their “say” come from?
18 makes sense from the stance that old enough to kill/die in the military (drafted no less), old enough to vote.
P.F. Sloan who wrote the song (that eventually worked its way into the Amendment discussion) and he said that those same 18 year olds who are old enough for killing are old enough for drinking. Why doesn’t anyone let those adults buy a beer?

And the Leftos want to raise the gun age to 21. AND the Leftos want to put mentally deranged people in the US military.
