This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. (I John 5:14)

Holy God,

So often we are overcome with fear and forget Who our Father is. We forget that we belong to the Creator of the Universe, the One Eternal Lord, the Author and Finisher of our Faith, the Blessed Redeemer, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, and the Prince of Peace. Father, we forget to be still and know that You are God. Help us, Lord, to believe in You and You alone---no matter what we see happening around us. You are the Truth and Truth always triumphs over reality. Thank You, Father, that we need never fear, but only believe.

We confess to being frustrated by the actions of Congress this week. Lord, help us to remember that You have offered to carry all our sorrows and frustrations. Please help our President to increase in Your wisdom and discernment so that he can overcome that which opposes what is good and right, just and true for America. We pray for courage for him to do Your will regardless of the cost.

Grant Your peace to those who defend our nation, Lord. Surely there are times when they are fearful and long to be home amid familiar surroundings. We pray that they will believe in Your unfailing love, Your everlasting faithfulness, and Your divine protection.

Lord, if we as a nation would believe in You, we could overcome the wickedness that has sought to destroy us. Help us to repent, Father, and to return to You---to believe in You and not doubt.

Grant peace and the spreading of the Gospel in Israel, Lord, and may Your protection cover all those who dwell there.

Father, we are bombarded by so much information each and every day. Much of it is misleading; much of it is false. You are the Source of everything that is true. Help us, Lord, to place our trust in You and only believe. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Heavenly Father, make President Trump like a watered garden and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail. Where nothing is covered, not enemies, strategies, counsels, or weapons. Let all be revealed to President Trump. Make the hidden things known to him, including the plans of our enemies. Make his house and this nation secure in all things; let no word spoken against the United States of America prosper. Let every plot formulated in the hearts of men to disrupt the security of this nation through manipulation or attack be cast down.
