President Trump said Friday that construction of his promised border wall would start "immediately" after signing the omnibus spending bill, which included $1.6 billion in funding for the wall.
"We're going to be starting work literally on Monday," Trump said during an event Friday at the White House. "We have a lot of money coming to the border."
Trump had threatened earlier Friday to veto the spending bill Congress passed on Thursday because it did not include sufficient funding for the wall and because it omitted expiring protections for young, undocumented immigrants.
Only the Congress can allocate money.
But I don't expect rabid anti-Trumpers to know that. They are too blind with hate to read books and learn things.
The real vinegar on the wound would be to build the tunnel right along with the wall. It is desperately needed also for national security.
If that feat was accomplished without Schumers blessing even NY state might turn red.
Example. Southern Indiana and Kentucky were blue. They needed a bridge across the Ohio. They fought for ,fifty years over where it would be built. East or West. Finally we got R in office and built two bridges. Everyone is happy and I couldn’t get enough Trump signs to fill the blue areas. Even their local offices turned red. Our representative was also elected Senator.
Solving problems turns people’s minds.
I don’t like being lied to about something so important as murdering innocent babies. It is something worth taking a stand for with everything you have, such as an impassioned speech as to why he could not sign such a bill based on his previously stated belief that abortion is taking an innocent life. Maybe even do something really crazy like mention that we are one week away from Easter when Christ laid down his life for us. But nope. Trump throws in the towel on sacrificing 1000 babies a day to the god of convenience instead.

I think there’s one thing you may not be taking into account - even if the planned parenthood funding was 100% eliminated, most of those unborn babies would be murdered ANYWAY because the sub-humans who are murdering them would just find the money somewhere else.

The wording is from the W border bill. The new style fences had not been invented yet. The Bollard fence meets all the criteria. Look it up on net and you will see picture of it in examples.
But my concern is, why aren’t we hearing about this? Why isn’t Trump glowing? Why doesn’t Ryan mention this? Certainly they know the base is pissed. I don’t see why hiding this does any good. Unless it’s not true?

That’s EXACTLY what I was going to ask. If this whole “Trump is really brilliant and he’s going to use the military money for the wall!” story is true - why not come out Friday, say that and rub it in the Democrats faces - PARTICULARLY since you know you’re taking a BIG political hit because your base feels like it’s just been stabbed in the back? And he HAD to know how the base felt - there were reports all day that the phones were overloaded and I can only imagine the number of e-mails the White House received.
I don’t want to sound negative - but what proof do we have that this diversion of funds is actually supposed to take place, and, if it is, what explanation is there for the President’s behavior on Friday? Why look beaten and pissed off if you’ve just won a MAJOR victory over the vile RATS? It just doesn’t make sense.

My understanding is the funding was for approx. 33 miles of fence.

They are sometimes called walls but it’s made by fence companies. If you look at the pictures of the samples you will see one just like them “only ten feet taller”

The Wall is not funded. Fence is funded. Fences don’t stop invasion.
