The GOP is the problem.
This is what happens when you elect a de facto independent as President of the United States. He has no leverage because he has no more than a handful of supporters in Congress.
You raise an interesting question:
If, in addition to the (anti-American) dems, "the (RINO) GOP is the problem", who do we elect who might have some leverage in such a Congress?
I submit the answer is: "Whoever convinces the voters he or she can best turn American around and advance its principles".
Based on his campaign promises, America decided that was Trump, whether or not he had any leverage. America believed he would march in and kick ass based solely on his power as President.
Not ready to throw in the towel, but this morning's action very well may have been a giant misstep for America.
