UPDATE - It looks like a deal has been reached, with Democrats sounding pretty darned happy about it. Paul Ryan also seems upbeat. But what, exactly, will this monster of a spending snowball include? Details are just beginning to emerge, but thus far it looks like Obamacare doesn't receive funding, and DACA has not been addressed -- but President Trump got at least some of his border security money:
Philip Klein ✔ @philipaklein Ds and Rs finalizing $1.2 trillion spending deal -- No Obamacare funding or DACA, but has border security money, @susanferrechio reports https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/congress/congressional-leaders-finalizing-12-trillion-spending-deal 11:08 AM - Mar 21, 2018
Guy Benson ✔ @guypbenson $1.3T spending bill:
No DACA fix, no new Obamacare funding, $1.6 billion for border security/fencing, large ⬆️ in military funding, $250m more for school safety, big $ to fight opioid crisis.
Significant across-the-board increases for nearly every domestic agency & program.
Quote: "Domestic accounts would get a generous 10 percent increase on average as well, awarding Democrats the sort of spending increases they sought but never secured during the Obama administration." Surprise. Meanwhile, 'Fix NICS' (see below) will reportedly stand alone in the legislation, without pro- or anti-gun companion provisions, which is what some Republicans and Democrats wanted (and which President Trump appeared to reject not very long ago). All in all, myriad elements of the bill are positive; others are disappointing. But the overall process remains terrible, and the trajectory of federal spending remains pointed inexorably upward. As I've written before, neither of these political parties is really serious about the national debt or fiscal prudence. That's the harsh reality.

On purpose. They want it as an issue in November
That sounds right.
I’m okay if they wanna run on DACA. Go right ahead.
According to Gun Owners of America, the Fix NICS thing is a really bad deal.
They need something to run on. But I think (and hope) that DACA is the hill they may die on. I don't think it is as popular as they think it is. And if the RATS were to all get on the same page, this might be an easy sell.
Remember, the democrats have turned down the DACA deal a couple times now.
Showing once again that nobody spends like Republicans when they're the party in power.
This is a crap deal. The wall needs to be fully funded ASAP. Kicking the can down the road is only allowing a new group of permanent brown underclass democrat voters to flood into the country. Once the democrat party has secured permanent power status (like in California) the whole country goes the way of California - to sh*t. Our borders must be secured and we must enact voter ID laws across the country.
“Im okay if they wanna run on DACA. Go right ahead.”
Agree.

60+ billion in new Obamacare funding and makes the CSR (insurance subsidy) funding legal.
No changes in Obamacare rules that I can see.
It’s a total surrender.
“no new Obamacare funding..”
I assume this means funding at the existing levels...which means they are still funding it
This is not a win
Exactly. It is an outlay to insurance providers of 60 billion so they won’t raise premiums as they openly threaten to. (or pay the 30 billion to continue funding Obamacare)
As Dan Bongino says, they should call their bluff and make them do it. He does give the Leftists who designed Obamacare credit for intentionally making this a poison pill issue.
The socialist-democrats need to rally their illegal alien voter base for this fall. By deliberately dropping the ball on the whole DACA thing, they can put all of the blame on President Trump and the republicans.
Looks like another CR.
What is this Obamacare you speak of?
Obamacare is finished, Trump told reporters before a cabinet meeting. Its dead. Its gone. You shouldnt even mention it. Its gone. There is no such thing as Obamacare any more.
Yeah, that was an interesting point.
The media are helping the Dems get away with a slick one, as usual.
It's not that they don't want to push it. It's just that polls consistently show most voters don't give a sh!t about it. Even polls that show 80% of U.S. voters supporting some form of DACA amnesty also show these immigrants don't rank anywhere near the top of anyone's priorities in America.
I meant Dan Bongino gave them credit for being deviously evil...
The President was clear he wanted FULL funding for the wall. No way in hell I’d sign it.
