Adam Schiff: Andrew McCabe's firing 'may be justified'

The top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee said Sunday he feels the firing of FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe may be justified, contrary to his party’s messaging in the last two days.

Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., said on ABC’s “This Week” said he’s waiting to see more information on McCabe’s dismissal before making an ultimate judgment. Democrats and ex-intelligence officials have roundly criticized the decision by Attorney General Jeff Sessions — seen as imposed by President Trump — to fire McCabe two days before his pension would have vested.

“You know, his firing may be justified,” Schiff said.

I say Sessions is an Institutionalist, not a Constitutionalist. He may want to clean house somewhat, but without exposing the treason of the UniParty, and then to move on.

More likely, it’s proof that Schiff now realizes his felonious leaking is about to bite him in the ass too, so he’s decided to become more “reasonable.”

For the record, I think the IG report will be huge and that immediately following it will be the report of the DOJ prosecutor that Sessions has assigned to the case along with way more indictments than you could ever imagine.

That’s a real possibility he has the inside scoop on what the IG report shows.

And the media just lies, and lies, and lies that there is some sort of a conspiracy behind the firing and that somehow McCabe is now the victim...why do they think he’s been on leave all of this time and stripped of his authority? Hint: It wasn’t because he was a beacon of integrity.

I think you have a most reasonable attitude toward this. Unlike some of our colleagues here who want to attack the citadel with torches and pitchforks and throwing flaming bodies off the walls, white hats and black hats alike to sort them out on the ground.

First, you are right. If Schiff thought he could gain an advantage of any kind, he’d be McCabe’s human shield.

Second, the 3000 released were the easy ones to get. Some of the most dangerous ones, dangerous to the country will be held back and a portion of those we will never see bc they will implicate Obama and likely McCain and the Bushes in truly treacherous behaviors. Possibly very many others. The point is not to protect the miscreants but the country.

Your third point is likely correct, too. AG Sessions has to be careful not to bust out with info that harms the country but only enough to take down the miscreants.

It is telling that he has recently walked back some of his more outlandish claims.

Perhaps the person who texted “there is no there there” already knew?

Nobody in the FBI was closer to Comey than McCabe. Whatever is in the IG report, you can bet Comey will be just as dirty as McCabe. So both firings were more than justified, but Comey’s led to the Mueller witch hunt.

Schiff is getting on the right side of the situation because he ALREADY KNOWS what McCabe is guilty of.. and it’s very serious.

Yup. There is definitely something way bigger going on. Sara Carter is reporting the McCabe is singing. If that’s true his time on Earth will be shortened.
