He will likely file a law suit to gain his pension. He will have to demonstrate that he was grievously treated by the Justice Department to be successful. Within the legal system, he will have sympathetic ears, but he will have an uphill battle since the professional and non-partisan OPR of the agency has recommended this action.

During the past several years 17 FBI officials have been terminated for false statements, not under oath. McCabe was accused by the OPR of making false statements about leaks to the media concerning investigations under oath. The removal of former FBI Director James Comey led to the present investigation when Democrats demanded a response against President Trump.

While Mr McCabe’s pension is front and center with both critics and supporters now, his long term problem is his criminal exposure. He has gone from a powerful and feared individual to a pawn in a political struggle. As a dismissed dirty cop with potential criminal charges hanging over his head, he has no value to anyone. He will be spending his time meeting with lawyers and writing big checks for their representation. This is a man with some tough times ahead and one who will quickly find himself all alone to deal with his problems.

McCabe and his/their “insurance policy” have cost the U.S. taxpayers a considerable burden. Not only the costs to review & uncover everything - but this wrongdoing by the F-I/D-J will inevitably lead to lots of cases having to be reviewed or those prosecuted in matters involving McCabe, Strzoh, Page, etc., will inevitably seek to have their matters reviewed due to their proven obstructions of justice. The loss of McCabe’s pension is the least of these costs - the greatest is the corruption of our nation’s highest court(s). Where do taxpayers go to collect?

Trump will push back that he would have fired the guy earlier, but had to wait to avoid “obstruction of justice” charges. One work day left, no investigation work for McCabe to “obstruct”.

The day after DJT was elected I prayed for him. I knew the evil and corruption that is solidified in our government was not going to go down easily. They weren’t going to walk away, they were going to fight and try to maintain the status-quo.

Just how ugly it would get, just how OBVIOUS it would get, I underestimated even though I expected it. What PDJT is doing is historic and his enemies are arrogant, they underestimate him at every turn. You can’t write this stuff. At this point I can’t imagine what will happen over the next few years.

Why didn’t the FBI’s Director Wray do the firing?

“He will likely file a law suit to gain his pension.”

... which is likely why it took a while to fire him so they could get everything in order. Usual administrative stuff has to be done.
