How can you reasonable expect a cop to run towards danger, especially if the perp has an Assualt Rifle 15 - fully automatic - with a 200 round clip?

>>As law enforcement arrived, the shooter’s identity and exact location were still unknown.

Just think of Boss Hogg junior newsman, had turned his camera on live streamcasting views of the school shooting to 911 or a pressroom instead of interviewing his fellow students under stress about the need for tougher gun control legislation.

Can 911 handle video calls yet and if not why not?

A female.

Hard to tell from the pic. But obviously a "diversity" thing, being promoted from her last job serving papers.

There’s no excuse for her actions. Fire her & take away her badge and gun. She obviously doesn’t need them.

This should be a stark lesson for our military and their Obam-esque desire to socially engineer with women and trans-gender in service, especially combat related areas.

Keep lowering standards until anyone who can fog a mirror qualifies, even those with a known mental imbalances, and the stage is being set for a major catastrophe in some future critical battle. Sure, the military can hide and mask the PC rot right now, but in the day, that hour of testing, catastrophe will unfold and many, many will pay with their lives. We should heed this example.

An order to form a perimeter doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with first responders confronting the shooter, though.

The command to 'set up a perimeter' needs to be examined in the context and timing with which it was given...if it was post-shooting then it may have been appropriate.

Selective leaks from Broward County Sheriffs Office should be taken with a grain of salt.

Who benefits from having this captain scapegoated?

-—— Original Message -——
Subject: Parkland Policy Failures

WHAT THE MEDIA DON’T WANT YOU TO KNOW
BECAUSE OF POLICIES IT LOOKS LIKE THIS

WERE THE BROWARD COUNTY SHERIFF”S DEPT PROHIBITED
FROM BEARING ARMS INSIDE BY SCHOOL AUTHORITIES ???

WERE THEY SO FED UP WITH THE SCHOOL’S LENIENT POLICIES
IT BECAME WHY BOTHER TO GO THERE ?

In the Parkland case, their security system had a dismal record concerning student safety and security that should be brought to public discussion particularly beginning with this school having a so called “gun free zone”.
From what has been reported .This school system did have an understanding with the Broward County Sheriff’s Dept. An officer who may be armed assigned to patrol the multi acre site in a golf cart, but bans guns from the rest of its internal security

Criticism arose when the officer assigned to this duty who was nearing retirement was reported to arrive late and after Cruz had entered the building. The officer stationed himself outside the large structure and had called for support. Two BCSD officers responded Which and did the same seeming to refusing to enter the building while armed . He then left before Cruz did.

Also responding to a BCSD request was the Coral Springs PD who did not have this gun restriction entered the building and cleared it. Cruz was captured while fleeing with other students by an alert CSPD officer off the 45 acre campus. While para medics were denied entrance by the BCSD to see if they could save any of the victims.

Those laissez faire attitudes strongly suggest examining records beside the interaction between the BCSD and this school board also calls for a review how the bureaucracy at this school handled student vs student, and student vs teacher (Cruz was accused of this) altercations, vandalism, thefts, and drug use. Which are bound to occur were being dealt with.To which a dramatic reduction in disciplinary incidents were reported after the selection of Obama’s Chicago friend as school superintendent occurred which was publicly acclaimed.and was receiving large grant from Obama’s Attorney General because of those results. That many critics claimed encouraged criminal activity. Which should require the US Attorney General beside finding out why when the FBI knew that Cruz should not be able to purchase weapons did to review these grant programs instituted by the previous Obama administration.

Because of these Ding Bat liberal policies it brings up another question. Just how safe and secure were those kids ? .Examine records reporting how student vs student, and student vs teacher altercations, vandalism, and thefts, which are bound to occur were being dealt with. Beside the arrangements with the BCSD.

Because in an educational unit this size it’s pretty clear their security system failed . In a secure system Cruz would have never gotten within the grounds let alone inside.

Now that school board has decided to tear down the school which was probably raised by a funding referendums and the grounds house a memorial

It was not a good tactic in this case, but it is standard police operating procedure basically everywhere. The shooting lasted just over 5 minutes. I have never been to an active shooter event where the police did anything that would have made a positive difference in the outcome of an incident of this short of duration. I have never seen so much breathless misinformation about how the police react to situations such as this.

Once the situation got to the point where an idiot with a gun was shooting up a place... the only realistic hope that someone would intervene in less than 5 minutes was if an armed civilian who had the courage, the skill and the opportunity to kill the perpetrator was already onscene.

If we really want to make schools safer we need to make it more likely that armed civilians who are willing to act are at schools. This situation is a typical and example of the folly of depending on the police to provide for the safety of school children or anyone else for that matter.
