The Broward County Sheriffs Office has identified to Fox News the captain who, according to sources, directed responding deputies and units to stage or form a perimeter outside Stoneman Douglas High School, instead of rushing immediately into the building, as the mass shooting unfolded there.
Multiple law enforcement and official sources said the commands in the initial moments after Nikolas Cruz allegedly opened fire would go against all training which instructs first responders to go, go, go until the shooter is neutralized. As law enforcement arrived, the shooters identity and exact location were still unknown.

You're not funny. And you've acted like jerk and an asshole on a thread that is about as serious subject.
Get a life.
It had a four-man crew, and it was designed to carry a nuclear weapon to the optimal air burst altitude over a target, where it would be detonated while still on the A4-D.
Yes, a suicide plane. That's why it was called the A4-D.
"All 4 Die."
That's what I had a guy tell me one time. He knew all about that kinda stuff.
Not in the NRA myself - but AFAIK training is the core mission of the NRA. And politics is a sideline.
Well, she doesn’t have to worry about Sheriff Israel having her back. He doesn’t.
If they’d formed a proper perimeter, they would have had every exit covered to prevent the perp from escaping. They didn’t...and he did.
Paaaaat!
Really... he? she?
“Jan” can go either way.
Clearly your sarcasm bites like my own and we both expect others to get it.
Should have known :)
Unfortunately, just because they can pass a promotional test, doesn’t mean they’re qualified for the position. I’m a white female who had to wait to get promoted because NY State saw fit to give blacks and hispanics extra points for affirmative action. It cost me in seniority, and money that should have been mine years earlier. Because of their promoting people who had lower scores than me, I had to wait longer to take the Lieutenant’s test. As it was, I decided not to accept any offers because I was close to retirement by that time, and wasn’t willing to go to another part of the state and be inconvenienced, just to make a few more bucks.
Nah...one of those 600 round super-assault clips.
She was a hoot on Fraiser playing an insurance agent. Ready to jump his bones; breaking her leg in the kitchen of his condo.
Saturday Night Live was once a very funny show. :>/
Not surprising at all.
It is a semi-auto rifle, one shot per squeeze.
Lol, the same sort of nonsense you posted here has been posted in earlier threads. Some folks, even here, think the cops should have done nothing since they were outgunned. You were not alone in the asinine opinion you posted.
If the “Coward of Broward” never went inside, then
how did he know what kind of weapon the shooter had?
If he had just starting firing randomly into the air that could have helped.
Sooo funny. Yes; SNL was funny decades ago.
So, “it” is a “she” in the police force. To quote Dirty Harry: “That sounds very stylish.”
