Former Trump campaign aide Sam Nunberg vowed Monday to refuse a subpoena from Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team to appear before a grand jury this week as part of the Russia probe, defiantly claiming: “Let him arrest me.”

“Mr. Mueller should understand I am not going in on Friday,” Nunberg told the Washington Post.

The dam is starting to break. Folks have decided not to cooperate with this nonsense. Good for Nunberg.

Nope. When people get to decide when they will and will not obey a court order (that’s what a subpoena is) then it’s game over. We have ceased to be a country governed by the rule of law. If he does this then he absolutely should be held in criminal contempt of court.

I’m starting to think the only way the president is going to stop Mueller’s fishing expedition from growing ever larger, is to fire him, along with Sessions and the man who supposedly works for Sessions. If this is being contemplated, the president needs to BE READY for the severe and negative reaction from the Main Streams. The media will be squealing like a stuck hog.

Hey, if a lowly mayor of a leftist California city can flout the LAW, a citizen should be able to ignore a dubious subpoena.

It’s the beginning of the end of the sham Mueller investigation.

Now’s he’s on to influence from the Middle East. Pretty rich considering the illegal donations made to the Clintons and Obama.

...unless the court order itself is (or should be) a violation of the rule of law.

This certainly is.

Oh plueeeeezzz...

Where have you been? Holder, Lerner, Lynch, Comey... do as they please. Why don’t you join DA and cheerlead for them over there? It’s time our side stood up to these tactics.

The precedent was started in the Obama administration.

With the blatant disregard of enforcing voter laws (Obama Justice would not prosecute) Immigration laws (sanctuary cities) and an entire spectrum of malfeasance with this Hillary Clinton Email Server issue, one can make the argument that we have already traveled far, FAR beyond the point where there is respect for the rule of law, particularly at upper levels in government.

If the choice is doing a little time in Club Fed versus certain bankruptcy trying unsuccessfully to fight a federal perjury trap, I’d think pretty seriously about the can. Mueller and his witch-hunters have unlimited funds and total immunity granted to them by the media and the Dems. You can’t win that one.

Good afternoon.

“We have ceased to be a country governed by the rule of law.”

You are of course correct, but a little late. The rule of law ended January 20, 2009.

Look around you now and tell me if I’m wrong.

"When people get to decide when they will and will not obey a court order (that’s what a subpoena is) then it’s game over."

Well, it's been game over for some time now. The only ones who think it's still a game with actual rules are the Republicans. Trump was elected because he stood up and said 'no more'. Good to see somebody else with the wherewithal to stand up and say 'no more' as well.

Normally, I would agree. But this Special Council was illegally set up. It was packed with political activists and some had to be removed. It seized WH documents illegally. It has gone so far outside its initial parameters that any hope of fairness or legality is gone.

If he is willing to sit in jail for a while after publicly making his case, then one could possibly conclude that his protest has more honor in it than anything the left has done in years.
