Guns have dominated politics this week. And the one idea President Trump keeps coming back to is arming teachers.
But a new NPR/Ipsos poll found that really only one group of people are in favor of training teachers to carry guns in schools — Republicans, especially Republican men.

About 66% of Republicans are in favor of arming teachers (who want to be trained and armed to protect their students).
If the Democrats don’t want to train and arm teachers, then they don’t give a damn about their own kids and other students/teachers.
Would love to see very precise poll statistics on this.
Republicans are for family; Democrats are for power, no matter who has to die for them to gain it.
End of story.

Some of my friends work on military bases. Bad enough they cannot carry at work but they cannot even have it locked in their car. This means they are unable to adequately defend themselves to and from work as well.
I love hiking all over a national park armed but then having to lock the gun in the car to go into the visitors center. How stupid us that?
They try very hard to cover up the actual timeline. But it looks like more than 10 to 15 minutes after the police are on scene before they take action. They wait for the swat guys, the armored truck, etc.
And they don't even let the rescue helicopters launch because there might be gunfire. Of course those helicopters are often flown by people who learned how to do so flying helicopters in and out of firefights in Vietnam, Iraq, or Afghanistan where they didn't wait for the gunfire to end before landing let along taking off.
And the EMTs stand around outside waiting for the all clear, even though some of them learned to, and have done the same job in Iraq or Afghanistan in the middle of a firefight.
Does the author of that cartoon essentially admit that democRATs are violent people with a tendency toward theivery?
I’ve had this discussion with my brainwashed children - their emotional resistance to the idea is fairly easy to overcome with simple facts.
Two of my kids had their “winter holiday” concert two days after Sandy Hook.
When I explained to them that 2/3 of the Dads there were carrying that night in a gun-free zone, they understood immediately what the real issue was.
Especially the democRATs that are members of the Teacher's Unions.
I armed my wife who is a teacher. She often takes students to out-of-town events and she has had to stop a couple of times in some sketchy places. Nothing has ever happened but she felt uncomfortable. She feels better now that she has a Ruger LCPII in her purse.
Persons who are fully trained in the use of guns and who are psychologically capable of confronting and killing armed assailants need to be on duty in all schools, no exceptions. Moreover, all schools should be redesigned to have only one accessible entrance, controlled by armed personnel and by metal detectors just as are virtually all court buildings in the country. Anyone, regardless of current or previous profession, who is both qualified and willing to perform this service to protect the students and school personnel in our country’s schools should be assigned to do so.
