I love it. At the beginning he said, you know what *I* want? I want to arm the teachers and CCL carriers. What do YOU GUYS want? Those are great ideas! Yay! What else?
The only trouble here is that his opening position wasn’t as strong as I would have liked it.
I’m not saying every school has to have a metal detector that every student has to pass every time... but every entrant to every school should have an ID and two or three pairs of eyes on them as they enter. We are at war.

I can’t understand why the “nervous Nellie’s” just don’t seem to grasp that Trump is a seasoned NEGOTIATOR. Negotiators weave and bob like Ali doing the rope-a-dope, demanding something, giving up something, working the room to their advantage. This is a fantastic skill for a President.

I never believed for a second that Trump would turn his back on the the 2nd Amendment or the NRA - but I wish he’d seen fit to endorse and support the NRA-backed Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act. It would have been a way to up-end California’s war on concealed carry.

He does endorse and support it. Why do you say he doesn’t?
There have been several stories stating that Trump does not back coupling of the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act with John Cornyn's background check bill, like
this one and
this one. Trump is not saying that he's against the idea of reciprocity for concealed carry, or that he won't back such a bill in the future - but he apparently doesn't think it's got a chance currently.
