I posted this for "extended" because of the many recurring demands before elections for putting Rice back in our government. ...something that needs to be remembered.

The first right is the right to life.

If one doesn’t have the right to protect one’s life, then the right to life is meaningless - in the past, ‘in modern times’ or in the future.

If one more person tells me “It’s time to have a conversation” about anything, I’m either going to puke or go buy an AR-15 just for the heck of it.

This is the ultimate Alinsky phrase - “We need to have a conversation” implies I think you are an idiot and what I really want to do is give you a condescending lecture, assuming I can’t just outright load you up into a rail car.

I once respected her as a brilliant woman.

Now I realize she is an idiot.

Another thing, banning “bump stocks” is silly.

I saw a youtube video of a guy using the stretchiness (I coined a new word) of his t-shirt to mimic a bump-stock.

What next!? Banning T-shirts!?

Rubber bands? the stretchy lace trim on the top of panties? they all can mimic the action of a bump-stock. Anything that can cause your finger to be pulled back is a possible bump-stock.

What we have here is another Colin Powell in a skirt.

Will not be long before the Democrats proudly march her out at all of their events

“I think it is time to have a conversation about what the right to bear arms means in the modern world,” Rice told radio host Hugh Hewitt

The transcript of DC vs. Heller is your "conversation". Next question.

>>Rather, she supports looking to law enforcement and guards as ways for protection.

Right, like the way the 4 cops in FL ‘protected’ the 17 students as they were being slaughtered....by hiding outside?

It takes a special kind of coward to have a gun, know children are being slaughtered a few feet away and you do nothing to try and stop it.

Sorry, but I’ll keep my guns and have the ability to protect me and mine if the time ever comes.

I’ve got news for Condi, what it means in modern times is what it meant in 1776. The AR15 is not a machine gun or a weapon of war.

Right now, the gangs in Chicago are running around with AK47s. Citizens need to be able to defend themselves with the same type of fire power.

So any one that wants to ban the AR15, I have a challenge: Round up all the AK47s and similar weapons from the criminals first.

You cannot ban the AR-15 any more than you can ban alcohol. I’ve built a couple, and actually, an AR might be easier to make.

I plan to buy a 3D printer soon and try my hand at printing a lower receiver. There are several people on YouTube who’ve run thousands of rounds through their printed lowers without failure.

The "place of the 2nd Amendment in modern times."

In my humble but accurate opinion it is this:

The only thing that has changed is the view: back in the days of the Framers of our liberties, the view was through iron sights.

Now it's a target dot, crosshairs, holosight or night vision scope.

And the target has always been the same:whoever and whatever would attempt to infringe that precious right.

The place of guns in the modern world is to protect your family from being murdered by Condi Rice’s “Family”.

The largest mass shooting of civilians in US history occurred on December 29, 1890 near Wounded Knee Creek in South Dakota, and it was the US government doing the shooting.

"US needs to consider Second Amendment's place in 'modern world'"

Of course we need to consider it, Condi...lest we take it for granted. The belief that we must always move with the times is not necessarily in our best interest or good for the country. Back in the '80s, people who were going through a couple of grams of cocaine every week were "with the times". It was everywhere. How'd that work out for the American people?
